I had some day 10 blood work done this cycle just to see where my levels were. My FSH came back at 4.0, E2 at 531, and testosterone low at 4 (range should be 6-80?). Is it possible I am pumping out more than one follicle on my own now?
Also, what can I do about the low testosterone levels - DHEA? Is naturally low testosterone a bad sign - like failing ovaries?
I feel like I'm not sure what is going on now - is this a bad sign to see the low FSH and higher E2 on day 10. LH was 5.3. Looks like today - 1 day later my surge may be coming soon as I am starting to see a little bit of a darker line.

how are you doing girl? i've been busy and haven't cruised here much...especially since my af has disappeared these many months...
re: testosterone, you may have a difficult time but try to get your doc to prescribe some gel. old schoolers are reluctant to do this.
having low test really affected my libido so i found a doc that over prescribed but at least i have 2 boxes of the stuff! i start taking it before i see my hubby; we are apart right now because i'm getting our house ready to sell and he is at his new j.o.b.
otherwise i would take it in the follicular phase, don't overdo it though cause they don't know what it does to quality yet.
i am unable to take dhea; this stuff really really helps me in the horndog dept.
take care my friend...

Anne, you make me laugh....my libido has nose dived in the last few years admittedly...so changed from my late 30's when I could not get enough from DH:)
Hope you are excited about getting a new house! Are you moving locally or out of state? Sounds like out of state for your DH's job?
Asked my RE about the testosterone levels, and he said the ovaries convert testosterone to estrogen, so mine just are doing a good job it...so it seems. I know I have vagin.al dr.yne.ss now when it's not O time....never had this one before...su.c.k.s getting older and emba.ra.ssing....have to use pre-seed now-lol!
Keep me posted on the move...kind of really exciting stuff ahead for you....nice to have a good change!

i'm only asking because my old docs were very reluctant to discuss it with me, i.e. told me that i was within normal ranges but it was low normal and that they don't know for sure that low test helped libido and that i should have a glass of wine to get me in the mood...i swear it, i'm not kidding about that. i wrote a strongly worded sarky message asking for the specific type of wine that will bring it back and when i am supposed to drink it and exactly how much? two docs said that to me, one female and one male.
anyway, i would ask for the specifics anyway. if you are low normal then you might benefit from supplementation. works for me, i occasionally get erotic dreams when i take it and that hasn't happened in years!
yes, we are moving out of state. i hate us being apart becuase i fear i will spontaneoulsy ov and won't be able to do anything about it! it's too far to drive for a weekend jaunt...
anyway, good to see you are still trying...

I emailed him about low testosterone and using DHEA. His exact words were testo.sterone is used by the ovary to make estradiol. There is no problem with your estradiol production, so no need for testost.erone or DHEA. I'll trust his opinion for now! I could ask my general practitioner for some test.osterone cream when I have my annual physical at year end. I'm just below the low range, so off the charts on test.osterone levels but hate to monkey with anything prior to an IVF if my RE thinks its a non-issue? Also, wonder if test.osterone levels fluctuate during a woman's menstrual cycle?
Cannot believe your docs told you to drink wine to get you in the mood...honestly, really! I remember my GYN telling me years ago it was ok to drink while TTC - but once the pregnancy test turns positive, to stop drinking alcohol. The responses you received are so ridiculous that I would question their medical licenses-lol!!
When will you be all moved? I wish you the best in moving soon and quickly!!! I know moving is a pain. We may need to move in the next year or so and not loving the idea only because of the process...not the new place.
