It's in the back of my little garden and I don't want anyone getting it when they weed [linked image]
Any thoughts and natural ideas of removing it.

Have found a lot this year in our yard. My DH just pulls it out with gloves on, and puts it in a bag, so no one else touches it.

Betty do be careful

June 17 2009, 10:47 AM

I have a friend and her son went to camp for a week, he came back with of course dirty laundry, and somehow she got posion ivy off of his clothes because she ended up with it on her hands and face and she wasn't around it anywhere else. She had to go to the dr and get a shot and some medicine to take, it was really bad, it was almost in her eyes and her face was really red and swollen and all these little blisters was draining and spreading it even more.

I really don't know how to naturally get rid of it but I do hope you can find something even if you have to hire someone to come in at take it out professionally.

Thanks

There is just no easy way to remove it and that's such a shame.
Honestly I think I am just going to let it be and not put any plants in the back.
I'll just have my Dad trim it low and leave it at that.
It can be so painful and you don't have to be in the garden to get it.

Thanks guys.

I Would

June 18 2009, 9:52 AM

spray Roundup on it, but then that's not a natural way.  But it works great.

It's just so close to my flower bed I didn't want to kill my plants.

If you spray

June 23 2009, 7:08 PM

roundup on each individual plant, it shouldn't affect the surrounding plants.
