Daisy I was just at

June 24 2009, 1:04 PM

your blog and everything is so gorgeous! you have done a wonderful job in your landscaping and planting and everything goes very good together. You can tell you have so much love in you with how you do your home inside and outside, and yes with all the hard work it is still well worth it. I love cosmos, they are beautiful and delicate, my mom used to grow hasta (sp) and hers would get really big too, but they are so so beautiful! Daisy do you have any roses planted? I love roses and have some here at the apartment, they are climbing roses and are growing everywhere! they are right outside my sun room and when I open the big windows I get that beautiful rose aroma. They have stopped blooming and I do hope they start back up again.

Thanks so much for sharing those photos with us! I feel I have been to your house.

I can ...

June 26 2009, 8:42 AM

name some of them ... but not all! I have ornamental grass, carpet roses ( which are just ground cover, Tea, your roses sound SO beautiful!!!!) cone flowers ( these won't bloom until August) and I forget the rest ...heehee! I would love to have climbing roses, oh they are so beautiful, but I fear I may not have the green thumb for them! Perhaps one day I will try, they are definately worth at least trying for!

I wish we did live close Tea. I know I would enjoy your company sooo much, there's just so much that I know we could talk about! It seems I was meant to be alone, as everyone I love lives far away. Even my friends from church live in a different city.

Wow..what a beautiful yard

June 25 2009, 2:20 AM

You would not believe how small our yards are here in S. California.

My entire yard would probably fit on your porch! happy.gif

Okay, maybe not quite that small but pretty small. I'd say my front lawn is maybe 18 feet wide and maybe 25 feet long to the driveway! My back yard is not much larger!

I could never keep a yard and garden like you have so beautiful. It's absolutely gorgeous! Of course we don't have any rain here so little water. We have to have sprinkling systems to keep anything green.

I just love your flowers!

We are fortunate ...

that we have a large lot especially for living in the city. Even our back yard is bigger then the norm! They usually don't have backyards like ours any more in the city. One thing about living in an older home is the mature trees!!

Thanks Everyone! ...

June 26 2009, 9:00 AM

Thanks for looking and commenting!

In other news, my children have been out of school for just 1 day and my muscles are sore. Man they keep me busy. We went for a bike ride yesterday and today they have me busy again! They want to go swimming this afternoon! Helllllp ...lol!  I'll just sit and watch them swim.

I also went shopping as my dd needs a new swim suit and I haven't sat down to sew another one. I was able to find a full swim shirt (rash guard shirt)  for her!!! There was only 1 left, I don't know why they don't stock more of these things. I want to try and make some! I wouldn't mind one for myself! I found a boys swim shirt at walmart there was only 1 left there too, so I bought her that one as well. I also found a skort for her, so I think I did well as my number 1 concern is modesty.

Wow, those are really pretty!

It's fun seeing other people's gardens, especially from different parts of the world, because different plants thrive there! Thanks for sharing.
