My great-grandmother Sophia Dziekonski was born in Lithuania. I believe her parents were polish and they just briefly stayed there, because only a few years later she was sent to live with her gradnparents in warsaw, poland, then when she was 9 her parents took her to the U.S.
I have never been able to find even the last name Dziekonski associated with Lithuania. How do I get a birth record of her from Lithuania? Where do I write to?
