I am looking for any info on ancestors of Joseph Markevitch b. 24 May 1884, d. 30 Jun 1970. I am having no luck at Ellis Island, but Joseph's father's name may have been spelled -wicz, which name I do find in quantity at the Ellis Island search pages.
I think Joseph's father's name was George, and this family may have come from Vilkaviskis. I am not sure when this family/individual emigrated, but I know that Joseph came to Homestead, PA and then to Sheboygan, WI.
