A verbal account of family history!

by Annie

I have been transcribing a wonderful old recording from a relative describing my Lithuanian family history. Being a verbal account, I am struggling with some of the spellings of the Lithuanian words and have only been able to write these down phonetically.

I have three sisters names that sound like Mercila, Meray and Magdelana and was hoping someone could give me the correct Lithuanian names.

The verbal account also refers to the time when family members left Lithuania between 1890-1895. The recording describes their journey to England “as long as they got over the boarder east of Germany to Poland and over the bridge at Roberjus, they were able to make their way towards Anglia”. Does anyone know about the bridge at Roberjus?

thanks

Annie
