Response to Then please give examples |
| "Palin is unlike any other national figure in modern America". Then the laundry list of "faults" in her family, most of which were dug up in the days immediately after her nomination, and are, like poaching, is minor crap. Then comparison to Jimmy Carter's brother (!!!) and Bill Clinton's brother (drug convictions).
Or: complains about her being unprepared for debate with Biden (At "[a]n early rehearsal...Palin just stared down, disengaged, non-participatory. A disaster loomed..."), yet an admission that "Palin worked hard, and the results were adequate." "...performance against Biden was nothing like a disaster"
Do you see a pattern? Doom, gloom, you already painted a picture (based on someone else's mis-representation) of this dummy....All of a sudden - bam! She did well! What happened with the predicted "disaster"???
Palin's independence is presented a hardheadedness, her desire to do things her way - as rebellion. Ask yourself - what if she followed every advise from McCain's advisers? Would they call her, after the fact, weak? Spineless? What if she listened to what they said - would they tag her as "incapable of own thought/idea/action"?
Once the author takes sides, you can't really believe him. He's no longer an objective reporter. He's a megaphone for sour grapes. |
