You can't give any examples of policies that worked? My point is that both parties (or should I say single party) blame the other side for the countries ills. Pretty much a cop out.
The Republican arm seems to do more of it than the Democratic arm and visa versa depending on your party affiliation. We are all struggling after 8 years. I guess that was the Democrats fault? Does anyone want to take ownership and responsibility for anything. If you are the party in power then you take the good with the bad, something Bush NEVER wanted to do. The specifics don't matter for this discussion.
The officials are the officials we have, and all of them should be working with a common goal of moving the country in the right direction. Less time needs to spent labeling each party "the boogie man" and more time solving our countries issues. If we held the politicians to the same pay scales and health-care packages of middle America then more would be done and it would be done quicker.
You could even go as far as make them spend a few weeks or months in Iraq or Afghanistan with their lives on the line. Bet you would see some different rhetoric when they returned. Actually we should pay them what we pay our soldiers and treat them the same when they get sick or injured.
They are too insulated from the real world, so they make decisions based on a skewed perspective of the world. Pretty sad.
