because you aren't talking about a crash that was the result of acts and conditions normal to air travel. It was acts of terrorism that caused 911.

However note that air travel by hydrogen-filled airship pretty much ceased after the crash of the Hindenberg

oil wells and sea-going tankers leak all the time. There have been at least 30 oil spills worse than the Exxon Valdez in the past 30 years
