Response to You really have no clue and it's obvious.

Of course I have a carbon footprint, we all do. Some of us are at least looking at ways to reduce it.

How are you personally reducing your footprint (ha ha)?

Just because alternate forms of energy are not as efficient as they could be is not reason to ignore the options.

Ummmmmm. Pleaase explain.

Gas powered engines where extremely inefficient years ago, but through research and design they have become more so and that should be commended.

By private industry

However, the downside both in pollution, national security and reserves all make a strong case to develop alternative energies now rather than later.

And what do we do with decades worth of supply in 1)coal, 2)natural gas, and 3)oil? IGNORE THEM?

The oil industry has a vested interest in seeing these types of energy fail.

Back it up, or it's your opinion.

Affluence is the remedy? So you are blaming the poor for our pollution problems? That's a good one....

Not what was said. Don't twist words. Who is more efficient with energy use, the US, China, or Russia?

Step back into reality and look beyond what has been to what could be.
