| Heck, Bush stated at the time he first pushed to go into afghan and Iraq (with maority dems and O's blessing no less)that he knew then it would take many years and that he would lose popularity.
Probably the biggest decisions of Bush's presidency and he knew at the time it would not be political popular. But he went ahead regardless.
In hindsight, right or wrong, Bush made a decision at the time that he thought best for our country despite the negative hit to his own political popularity.
Also, did you ever hear even once during his eight total years Bush Blame Clinton for any mess bush inherited, including Clinton's recession and most serious of all, Osama and 9/11????? Nope, not once.
yet we hear almost daily Obama blaming Bush for everything under the sun. Despite running for President on the basis of promising us all that he knew how to fix all our problems, since holding office all he has done is tell us how bad things are, that the problems are beyond his control, they are worse than he knew, and Bush is at fault for every current problem. Does this sound like presidential leadership to you?
I didnt agree with Bush on many of his positions but my respect for him has grown tremendously during O's years spent bashing Bush. Unlike former dem presidents clinton and carter, bush keeps quiet on current presidential actions even when being personally attacked by O (unprecedented in recent presidential history)each week by O. Unlike O, Bush actually respects the office of the presidency, and those who served in that capacity, regardless of party affiliation.
This is the difference between having an Adult as president who appreciates our history and constitutional structure and, as we do now, having an incompetent "child" as president! |
