| will and should get our vote.... and what a positive effect a win for McCain will mean for EVERY one, especially those coming of age who endured the 'cold' war, Vietnam, the civil rights era and challenges to traditional gender roles. John McCain has lived through untold horrors and kept his focus on more than survival. He has tried to honor those with whom he served and others who follow in his steps to bring peace, prosperity, and freedom to long forgotten places. The United States is much more than a mixture or people or a melting pot of ideas. America truly is the enduring light of a new 'promised' land with many dreams both here and abroad. Our children will carry the torch as they pass on the GOOD NEWS of hope and love all around the world. You may want to prepare for the coming day when more kids born in the USA travel to live and work in other lands. They will need our blessings and the faith to carry on. What we celebrate here, which is the sacred nature of life, is not always promoted in equal fashion the world over. Hug your kids and hold your friends and family close. Life is short. Go ask your elders or those who struggle with their health every day to live. Respect is earned and takes time and strength in the heat of battle. John McCain has the experience to lead, both with congress and as a commander. |

at Golden Corral when someone mentioned Mccain. We all lost our appetitie and did not visit the dessert bar. US Americans should vote against McCain because he will keep the tax rates low so the government will not have much money to give the needy. Also. Europe backs Obama so we should follow the Europeans and back Obama. Youtube also has videos of Obama that tell the truth. US American deserve Obama because Bush is the worst president ever per the USAToday and many blog sites. US Americans should want a leader in Obama who will follow the UN and European leaders. These are the facts Republicans. Please don't try to spin the facts saying that they are biased. |

I think you forgot to mention something about Bush being connected to big oil... other than that you did well and covered all the talking points. You get a gold star. |

Me and my friends were so concerned over gaging on our food at Golden Corral when McCains name was spoken. My friend the Union organizer almost spit up his food on the USA Today. My other friend the community activist was complaing of the price of gas that he put in his 1998 Saturn. We all agreed at the table that the price of gas was a result of Bush and Cheney keeping the profits from their oil wells. Cheney wants the high price of gas so his company Haliburton can get the government contract to drill for oil off the coast of florida. Why don't you neocons understand the we must sue OPEC for not drilling for more oil in the middle east. Also we must conserve energy like Europe. Please republicans don't respond that all that congress has done is to require us to bring mercury ladden lightbulbs into our house to save energy.
We only have 4 months left of the worst president ever. My concern is that Bush will use the weather machine he has to create Hurricanes to destroy the oil rigs in the Gulf so he can raise the price of oil. If you don't believe me then check youtube. Videos don't lie!! The Republicans have a weather machine that is causing global warming. |

all the Johnny Mc pandering and flip flopping since 2000. Despite his own words, he is the one that will do anything to win an election, just look at how different he is today versus 2000 and 2004. On major issues, I don't even recognize this guy. He's had more gaffes than anyone I can remember in recent history. He talks about a running a respectful campaign but yet continues to attack Obama on a personal level. Obama, by the way, has taken the high road and simply sticks to the facts.
These two candidates are like night and day. The rest of the world has caught Obama fever and he will be the next US president. |

| Where can I buy the Kool-Aid | July 27 2008, 1:29 PM |
Obviously it must be working with your glowing support of Obama. Where can I buy the juice to make me a believer? I have tried to obtain the level of support like you but each time I do research on Obama I come away with more questions. Where can I find information on Obama outside of Obama08.com that does not talk about his flip flopping on important issues such as Iran and Iraq? Where can I find information that does not reference him abandoning the far left wing of the party? I am on the far left and I feel that he has abandoned the call of troop withdrawal? Harry Reid and nancy Pelosi informed us last year that the war was lost. Nancy and Harry stated that they would have the troops home by June 2007. Why has Obama abandoned the call of bringing the troops home? |

members of law enforcement accidentally injure or kill 'innocent' members of society while trying to capture and control the violent perpetrators who hold their communities hostage. Would we be wise to stop their work and lose safe communities to criminals? War is ugly and a last resort to preserve peace. We have to accept the reality of life and death, so much that young people take their lives more seriously. Live with purpose knowing that you will not live here forever. |

| Is this an intelligent post? | July 27 2008, 9:58 PM |
I am a liberal democrat and can only answer intelligent posts. Your post I believe makes sense and would require me to agree with your statement. However, I must hold the party line and disagree even though I agree.
The last few weeks have been difficult for us Liberal democrats. We all agree that we need to drill for more oil. However, we must hold the democrat line above the interest of the country. This is why we support suing OPEC. We democrats realize that this is stupid but we must hold the party line.
Also, we Democrats do realize that the surge worked but we will continue to say that it is a lost cause. If we did come public and support the surge then we would be throwing Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Murtha under the bus. It is more important for Democrats to defend the reputation of these three individuals than to give credit to the military men and women. |

"He's had more gaffes than anyone I can remember in recent history."
Must you be so grandiose about everything?? Best in history, worst in history, biggest ever, generations to come, etc.
And the crap you say about McCain you were also saying about Romney when it looked like he was ahead earlier this year. Back then Romney was the biggest flipfopper in the history of politics, now McCain is. Hmmm??? It's a pretty good bet that, had she won the nomination, you'd be saying the same things about Hillary now that you're saying about Obama now. Do you sense a trend here? |
