Have you watched the House Dems discuss the proposed health care bill? They simply refuse to answer any questions about how the bill will be paid for, promising to deal with that later. So we are going to approve the bill now, in a mad rush, but we'll figure out how to pay for it later. There are two potential reasons why they won't talk about it, and neither is very heartwarming. First, they simply do not know. That's pretty scary. Second, they do know, and if the word ever got out, there would be such a public backlash that the bill would need to die a quick death. My guess is, giving them the intelligence benefit of the doubt, it's #2.

There's a reason why Obama wants all this health care and energy stuff done so quickly, rushed through Congress so he can sign it. Becuase the devil is in the details, and he doesn't want anyone to figure out the details too soon.

It's not that hard. And of course the consequences can be blamed on someone else..
