Humans tend to bring up the past when things appear worse in the present. Every generation says "ah the good ol' days" when they reach the latter stages of their lives. Every one, no matter how good or how bad things might have been at the time will bring it up. Most people become apprehensive about what is new and change almost always creates anxiety and fear.
