Well, today Badger ( the "teen" boy) went too far and bit the baby rat hard on the testicles. It was bleeding and he was limping about , holding a hind leg up. I held him for a long time, the bleeding stopped, and he is again using that leg - he must have been in some pain! I put him in a small cage for tonight, but its really teeny.

I am not sure what to do now with Badger, he seems like I could get him to come around to me.. today he took a cheerio from my hand. But I am afraid Baby will get seriously injured if I keep them together, and I am head over heels in love with the Baby, who already comes to the cage door and puts his paws in my hand. They were living in the same cage with 5 other rats at the shelter, and baby rat did have a couple bite wounds when I adopted him, but I was thinking ( hoping) the adult males had done it.

I am tired and going to bed.
Bad bad Badger.
