I first encounters St. Elmo (and Hancock and Romley) back in the late 60's, and haven't been back there since 1973. I recall that it was something of a trek up the old single-gauge railroad grade. The old timber bridges may have been perfectly fine, but I always got out and had a look at them (what did I know - I was maybe 17).
Today I get a wild hair and have a look at the area on Google Maps - it looks like it's a real place now and not just a ghost. What's it like up there now?
