location of the well

For as long as I have been going to Fuller Park, since I was about five, I have known of the well. If you are walking down the main path, a little bit before you take a right to go to the monkey cages, there was a smaller less defined trail to the left that led to the well. It is before you get to the trail that leads to the giant clearing that runs through the middle of the park, so if you wind up there you are in the wrong spot. I saw it last in 1993 before I moved out of state for a while and it was pretty crumbly. I must admit that my friends and I thought that the well was not a well known place in the park. One of the things we loved about it was that you could see the main path and even on up to the monkey cages, but anyone walknig down the trail could not see you. I am coming down there next weekend to take a walk through the park again. If I find the well I will post it here. By the way I mentioned the clearing, I can remember in the summer bees lived everywhere. I mean swarms of them. They once almost stung my friends dog to death.
