Democracy's target also happens to be the average schmoe. In fact, the quality of elected officials in most democracies is a direct reflection of the overall quality of judgment of the average schmoe.

So if you think our elected officials are morons, that says quite a bit about the average schmoes who elected them to office, doesn't it?

Unfortunately for you, average schmoes do not get what democracy is all about. Something that I articulate in this brilliant article.
