Faith is a gift from Godby Lemuel G. Abarte (no login)
This may explain the quantum leap that Paul displayed on the Damascus Road. He was wholly other after his encounter with Christ. Perhaps faith as a gift is offered to everyone and the mechanics of a quantum phenomenon might be with it.
A change of mind often comes from shock and awe. Most conversions are really of this nature, like in the case of John Newton of "Amazing Grace" fame. Others are just the silent voice of the Spirit talking to Elijah after he fled from Jezebel. Indeed, there are many cornerstones on life's pathways that bring us to crisis and awareness of His presence.
Why something of a nature too close to a physical experience? Perhaps it is because God does not act singly on the faculties of our immaterial soul but also on our physical being. That is, all these occur at the quantum level of the twilight world of our material and immaterial interface.
