Of all the horrors that will eventually confront Erap as an inmate(if not given preferential treatment) entering prison, the most subtle, and possibly the most terrifying, is that he may become an homosexual. Once confined behind prison bars Erap will learn quickly that there is no female outlet for his male sexual urge(Berroya knows this that’s why he hates Erap so much). True there are visitation rights, some of them may be conjugal(no kabit visitation are allowed), and even then there is no privacy, no comfort and even less gratification for the concerned.
What then can a man look forward to? For a stud like Erap, maybe a hole in the mattress or two pillows puffed together to form an orifice. But this are not going to be enough. Where does he turn to----and to whom? I am making this comment not for the purpose of making insults but convey to all crooks and would be crooks in the gov’t and to those who are on the verge of making that one mistake that will see them behind bars for the rest of their natural life. Erap may face more years in prison(maybe death) than there are hairs on Mirriam Santiago’s head. Erap may be a living proof that no matter how tough, how street-wise you are, eventually you get caught, and eventually they put you away. In Erap’s case, maybe forever….and ever.

Two weeks ago, news of the explosive revelation from the Dacer parish priest hit the newspapers. Fr. Baldestamon of the Sun Valley parish church came forward to make public overtures he heard from Ramos henchman Joe Almonte to the Dacer children a short time after their father disappeared—that he could negotiate for his release provided Dacer is immediately shipped to the US and the family continues to mourn like he had never been found. Why has NBI chief Reynaldo Wycoco not called in Almonte to find out more about this crucial angle?
We are now being bombarded on a daily basis by headlines on “killers” of Dacer having surfaced and confessed. However, when read, the full story identifies them only as “suspects.” Before this, an Inquirer headline tagged Estrada as the culprit behind Dacer’s disappearance and presumed murder. Department of Justice Secretary Nani Perez had to clarify later that there was no factual basis at all for the headline. The “uncivil Society” media has really been going amuck. I suspect it is to deflect attention from the Fr. Baldestamon bombshell involving Almonte—and Ramos.
Fr. Baldestamon’s revelation was brought to the surface in one of the newspaper columns of Bishop Ted Bacani. Last week, I read a letter-to-the-editor from Ramos to Bacani, outlining his response to the Bacani column. It was a very lame letter recalling his expressions of concern for Dacer’s disappearance, citing such inane publications as Customsweek. Readers will recall that it was precisely Ramos’ dubiously premature and hammed up concern, when Dacer’s disappearance was not even an established fact yet, that triggered suspicions about a Ramos hand in the abduction.
The story is now told to close friends by the Dacer children, Ampy and Sabina, that the Ramos visit to Dacer’s office on that fateful day of the disappearance was very uncharacteristic. In the many years of Dacer and Ramos’ professional dealings, never once did Ramos visit Dacer’s office. But on the day of Dacer’s kidnapping Ramos did, and after only an hour of waiting he started making it too obvious he was concerned—by calling media about his alarm over Dacer’s disappearance.
It could have just been traffic, a flat tire or engine trouble, a sudden family emergency, a bum stomach, an extended breakfast meeting, or a hundred other small possibilities that delayed Dacer for an hour. With cell phone service the way it is today, and service providers undermining each other by delaying interconnections or with cell sites jammed or down, an hour’s wait to get a cell phone connection happens quite frequently. So, delayed cell phone contact is not sufficient reason to panic and call media.
The scenario is too much like a no-smoking room with a tell-tale tobacco stick.
The government has produced one suspect after another. Each time they bring up these suspects, more questions come up. The original duo, who were alleged to have disposed of the bodies, were themselves blocked from seeing their lawyer, Atty. Ric Valmonte. The subsequent “confessed” participants in the Dacer case have, according to newspaper reports, reportedly been arrested without warrant and “subjected to physical torture.” All these alleged violations of the suspects’ rights, which will have serious bearing on the credibility of the investigations, must be looked into.
The NBI, which is assigned to the Dacer case, must preserve and protect its integrity and credibility at all times. Unfortunately, former general Wycoco is not delivering on this fundamental duty he has to the organization. He is leaving too many stones, nay, boulders, unturned on the trail of the Dacer case—lying so in plain sight of everyone who cares to see. But he is apparently deliberately turning his eyes to where there are no rocks and boulders, content to follow the trail where red herrings are being tossed farther and farther away.
Now that the Almonte angle has been raised by Fr. Baldestamon, Gen. Wycoco is obliged to invite both to be interviewed. The story must be officially verified, and Almonte’s side should be looked closely into. The Dacer children must also be asked, to crosscheck the parish priest’s story. But foremost among these actions is this—send a summon to Almonte. This Rasputin of Ramos has some explaining to do. If he gets himself off cleanly, we won’t raise the issue again. While he avoids the Almonte matter, nothing he does will be credible.

Lacson’s PAOCTF enjoyed infinitely higher credibility than what they have today.

How Dacer, Corbito were murdered

Four groups were tasked to carry out the abduction and murder of public relations executive Salvador "Bubby" Dacer and his driver Manuel Corbito.
Each group had a specific task from the planning of the abduction, surveillance, the actual abduction and the murder.
In nine hours, the operation was over.
The group of SPO4 Marino Soberano headed the team that surveyed the Dacer residence at Sun Valley Subdivision in Parañaque.
According to the testimonies of Jimmy Lopez, 41, a former barangay chairman of Buna Lejos 1 in Indang, Cavite, and Alex Diloy, 37, of the same village, they were made to believe by Police Supt. Glenn Dumlao that the two victims were kidnappers.
Lopez and Diloy yielded to police authorities last month and admitted to their participation in the killing of Dacer and Corbito.
Lopez claimed that it was his brother, William, who strangled Dacer using a length of electrical cable. He pointed to Digo de Pedro as the one who strangled Corbito.
The abduction
Dacer and Corbito were forcibly taken at around 11 a.m. at the corner of Zobel Roxas Street and Sergio Osmeña Highway at the boundary of Manila and Makati City last Nov. 24.
Dacer was then on his way to meet former president Fidel Ramos at the Manila Hotel when he was abducted.
The mouths and eyes of Dacer and Corbito were covered with adhesive tape before they were loaded to a black van.
With Dacer's Toyota Revo bringing up the rear, the black van proceeded along South Luzon Expressway and headed to the parking lot of the Metrobank branch in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
At the parking lot, Dumlao briefed Soberano and SPO1 Mauro Torres, who were told that the operation was over and the kidnappers were to be disposed of.
Dumlao was reportedly driving a Nissan Sentra.
From Dasmariñas, Cavite, he and Soberano then proceeded to Barangay Buna Lejos, Indang, Cavite.
The Revo, black van and Nissan Sentra parked at the garage of a certain William Lopez, after which Dacer and Corbito were unloaded. They were dragged for about 20 minutes to a dried-up creek.
The murder
Dacer and Corbito were tied and strangled before their bodies were burned in a bonfire of rubber and wood.
The four steps in undertaking the abduction and murder of Dacer and Corbito were carried out smoothly.
Each of the participants in the crime knew their specific tasks.
However, the brains behind the grisly murder and the motive behind it remains a big mystery.

Bago lumaki ang ulo mo sa pagkawala dito ni Red Angel dahil sa binanggit mong nag-iilusyon lamang siya, nais ko pa sanang ipa-alam sa iyung pinkamamahal na kamang- mangan na si Ginoong Escobar po ay nasa Israel simula pa noong Lunes matapos ang Palm Sunday. Nasa Roma po siya noong Palm Sunday para sa isang okasyon sa imbitasyon ng Santo Papa bago tumuloy sa Tel-Aviv.
Napaghahalata po lamang na ang lahat ng mga akusasyon mo tungkol kay Red Angel ay dala ng iyong pagka-inggit at ilang ulit na pag-lampasao sa iyo ni ginoong Escobar sa mga diskusyunan ninyo sa forum na ito. NDF seeks release of 191 prisoners
National Democratic Front (NDF) Chairman Luis Jalandoni asked the government Thursday to release 191 political prisoners before the start of peace talks with the government on April 27 in Oslo, Norway.

Manila, April 19, 2001 - The left-leaning party-list group Bayan Muna has asked the Supreme Court (SC) to compel the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to scratch off five political parties and other non-marginalized organizations from the list of groups earlier accredited in the party-list race on May 14.
In a 24-page petition, Bayan Muna counsel Neri Javier Colmenares said they had to seek the High Court’s help after the poll body refused to act on their petition.
"These major political parties are definitely not the marginalized and under-represented sectors referred to by the Party-List Law," Colmenares said, referring to the administration Lakas-NUCD, the opposition LDP-Lamp, Liberal Party, Reporma and Kilusang Bagong Lipunan.
The Constitution provides for the participation of sectors in the party-list elections based on the registered, national, and regional and sectoral parties and its organizations.
Republic Act No. 7941, or the Party-List System Act, added marginalized sectors to the system but now allows political parties to participate in the party-list elections in the May congressional and local elections.
The Comelec accredited a total of 162 party-list organizations and political parties. Accredited were 26 political parties, 58 sectoral parties and 78 organizations.
Bayan Muna is also seeking the delisting of non-marginalized organizations.

NPA steps up slay drive vs local bets

COMMUNIST guerrillas have stepped up attacks on “anti-people” politicians as the election season nears the homestretch, killing candidates in Ilocos Sur and Bicol, just after they shot dead a mayor in Agusan del Sur.
Eight people, including a local chief executive of Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur, a Camarines Sur provincial board bet, four police officers, a retired cop and a nine-year-old girl were killed in separate incidents late Wednesday and at dawn yesterday. Four others were injured.
The Alfredo Cesar Command of the New People’s Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the killing of Sta. Lucia Mayor Teodoro Hernaez, of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), his brother, Rodolfo, a retired cop, and police officers William Agpalo and Robert Naongyan.
Gunmen, using 9mm and .45 caliber pistols, attacked while Hernaez was speaking to residents of Barangay Namitacan, around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The NPA Command in Ilocos Sur said the killing was “punishment for crimes against the farmers.”
Earlier, Hernaez was involved in several cases of usury, with constituents accusing him of shortchanging them of 2,000 heads of cows.
Martin Montana, spokesperson of the CPP-NPA Ilocos and Cordillera, had told reporters before that guerrillas would exercise “police functions” in the barrios.
In Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, rebels ambushed a police car carrying civilians, killing the daughter of a cop, and wounding the policeman and three teeners.
SPO1 Danilo Ramos, of Alfonso Castaneda policed station, although badly injured, fired back at his attackers. His daughter, Jackielou, died; wounded were his other children, Jennifer, 13; Jocelyn, 11 and Johnny Grace.
The victims were aboard a police car, bound for Pantabangan to attend a wake of a relative, when waylaid by rebels.
In Orion, Bataan, two policemen were killed in separate ambuscades by suspected members of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB), a communist splinter group.
Supt. Perfecto Palad, Bataan Police director, identified the victims as SPO3 Rafael Imperial, of Orion Police station and SPO1 Pedrito Sisperez, a member of the Limay police.
Four armed men waylaid Imperial as he was leaving the Saranghe Videoke Bar in Barangay Daang Bilolo, Orion. After a couple of hours, Sisperez was also gunned down while riding his motorcycle near the highway in Barangay Putting Buhangin.
Last year, suspected RHB members also ambushed two policemen inside the cockpit arena in Balanga, Bataan.
Meanwhile, in Camarines Sur, former provincial jail warden Jose Bulalacao, a provincial board bet of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) was ambushed and killed by suspected NPA gunmen.
Bulalacao, who also served as police chief of Daet, had just finished speaking at a political rally and was about to board his motorcycle when shot in the head at close range by two suspects.

Quezon City, April 18, 2001 - Ombudsman Aniano Desierto is in hot water over his withdrawal of five criminal cases filed against Joseph Estrada.
Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Francis Garchitorena, chairman of the First Division, said the charges would not be automatically dissolved despite the manifestation.
"There is a decision by the Supreme Court of long-standing that once the case is filed, the prosecutors no longer have disposition of that case. It is the court that must decide whether or not it would be proper for the case to be withdrawn or not," Garchitorena said.
Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Narciso Nario, chairman of the court's Fourth Division where two of the cases were docketed, said the court will require Desierto to explain the withdrawal.
"They should not be joking here (considering the fact that) they are filing these cases against the former president. The court will set this (manifestation for withdrawal) for hearing on Friday to hear the prosecution what prompted them to withdraw their case. The Ombudsman should be here," Nario said.
The Third Division will conduct a hearing on the manifestation at 2 p.m. today, to be followed by the First Division at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and the Fourth Division at the same time on Friday. The Fifth Division has yet to set a date.
Garchitorena noted that while the Ombudsman's move was permitted under the law, the prosecutors would have to convince the court of its necessity.
"When a case is filed, the presumption is there is a good reason for filing it. So when a case is withdrawn, there has to be a good reason for withdrawing it," he said.
He said they are still waiting for the Ombudsman to furnish them with the evidence to support the charges.
"Nothing has been submitted as far as we know although media reports said otherwise. As of today, there was nothing. The case cannot proceed (without those papers)," Garchitorena said.
With the withdrawal, only the plunder, perjury and the illegal use of alias cases are left with the graft court.
Four of the cases withdrawn were for violation of the anti-graft and corrupt practices act and one was for violation of the code of ethics for public officials.
Ombudsman Aniano Desierto said the withdrawal move was intended to allow the prosecutors to train their cannons on the main plunder charge.
He explained the withdrawal would also avoid any duplication of the charges, saying that the "substance of the criminal information (which were withdrawn) is identical with the plunder case."
"We don't want to give any opportunity to the defense panel to delay the (Sandiganbayan) proceedings...Everything must be focused on the plunder case," he said.
He said the withdrawal of cases is only temporary and they intend to refile them "at a more appropriate time."
Desierto added that Estrada's lawyers might also invoke double jeopardy on the ground that the separate graft suits were already included in the plunder case.
The Ombudsman charged that Estrada committed plunder through a series of overt and criminal acts.
These acts include Estrada's supposed receipt of P545 million in jueteng money; misuse of P130 million in Ilocos Sur funds; pocketing P189.7 million as commission in the purchase of Belle Corp. share; and other illegal activities from which he unlawfully accumulated P3.23 billion which he kept under the Jose Velarde account.

Kita mo, isang araw kapag nainip na iyang si Satur Ocampo at Teddy Casino ay lalabas na naman iyan at magtitipon tipon sa harapan ng SandiganBayan at isisigaw ang kanilang demanda na ipakulong na si Erap.
Sa ngayon itong mga ito ay abala sa pagpuri sa mga kandidato ng PPC. Kasama sila sa lahat ng lakaran at libre ang kanilang mga pagkain, pahotel, at may pera pa sila sa bulsa. Hehehe.

PRESIDENT Macapagal-Arroyo has granted pardons to and commuted the sentences of 387 prisoners nationwide on the recommendation of the Board of Pardons and Parole this week.
The President signed the memorandum which granted an absolute pardon to only one prisoner, Teodoro Sinaca Jr., and conditional pardons with parole conditions to 25 others.
She commuted the sentences of 361 other prisoners.
Presidential chief of staff and spokesperson Renato Corona said he did not know if the prisoners included the estimated 200 political detainees whose release had been demanded by the communist National Democratic Front ahead of the holding of peace talks with the government.
One thing was sure, Corona said, the President did not sign an order allowing for the release of Danilo Continente and Juanito Itaas, who were convicted for the murder of US military adviser Col. James Rowe in Quezon City in 1989.
The NDF had demanded the release of the two along with about 200 other political prisoners before the start of peace talks on April 27 in Oslo, Norway.
Earlier, the President had ordered the release of 42 political prisoners as a gesture of "goodwill" to the rebels and to entice them to come to the peace table.

Viña, chief of PAOCTF in the Visayas, was accused of being the “mastermind” behind the abduction and killing of Dacer and Corbito.
But after Viña turned “state witness” yesterday, the accusations against him of being the “mastermind” were immediately dropped and these brand new PNP sources are now claiming that “orders” to kill dacer were really coming directly from Erap, bypassing Vina.
How convenient.
So I guess they got to Vina too, eh?

Kulang ang isang buwan at eleksyon na, hindi na magkantuto ang mga kandidato kung paano nila sisiguruhing matutupad ang kanilang pangarap na maupo at makapag happy happy sa loob ng anim na taon.

Muli nating makikita ang halos araw araw na pagpapalabas ng mga nangyari bago mapatalsik si Erap upang sa ganon ay maalala natin na itong mga kapartido niya ay pawang masasama at hindi dapat tangkilikin ng mga botante.
Iyang piso, magandang gimik yan at nakita na natin ang naging epekto nito noong panay ang bulusok ng halaga na bumaba hanggang 54 to 1 sa kainitan ng mga rally sa EDSA. Hindi malayong ulitin na naman ito ng mga elitista, gumawa ng artificial na pagbagsak ng piso at isisi na naman ito sa mga kapartido ni Erap. Napakadaling gumawa ng krisis para sa mga mayayaman at mga bulaang mamamahayag upang mabigyan ng pangamba ang tao na lalong mapapasama ang ating ekonomiya kung mahalal sa puwesto ang mga kalaban ng People Power Coalition.
Ngayon pa ay marami nang iniluluto doon sa Makati, ang katahimikan ay babala lamang ng bagyong darating. Grrrr!!

Vatican clips Cardinal Sin’s power, orders cut-up of archdiocese
Vatican authorities have directed the local Catholic Church hierarchy to break up the Archdiocese of Manila into five dioceses in an attempt to clip the power and influence of Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin, local church authorities revealed yesterday.
The Vatican also reportedly gave the view that an elected president, as long as he was freely elected by the people, should not be called upon to resign by Sin and the bishops.
The source said priests and bishops engaging in political talk, specially during the celebration of Mass, have noticeably resulted in less people attending the Holy Mass on Sundays.
"There are also many who have been seen walking out during sermons, when they become political," the source stressed.

The Church had rebuked her own. And maybe sometime in the future the Filipino people will do thesame with GMA.
The action of the church was expected. In the absence of many catholics in church pews, of course, there are less colections. I think this was the reason why Sin accepted jueteng money because the offerings are not as much as expected.
A condemnation from Vatican will have a backlash on GMA. Her support from the elites that are pious catholics will dwindle, the common tao will go against her and this will drive her towards the communist for support.
Para sa amin, itong panyayayri ay biyaya ni Allah. Kasi yung militar ngayon magdalawang isip kung saan papanig, sa bayang tao o ke GMA.

SENIOR Supt. Reynaldo Berroya now heads the intelligence group of the Philippine National Police.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo named Berroya to the top intelligence post in the PNP, replacing Senior Supt. Jaime Karingal.
Berroya was placed in "floating status" after former PNP chief Panfilo Lacson charged him with involvement in kidnapping and drug syndicates. Though the charges were dismissed in court, Berroya was barred from joining active police service.
Berroya was an open critic of Lacson’s leadership in the PNP, linking the former police chief to kidnap-for-ransom, drug trafficking, and salvaging cases.
In his acceptance speech in turnover rites at Camp Crame today, Berroya said he would rid the PNP of scalawags and corrupt elements to regain the confidence of the people.

A former top aide of former PNP chief Panfilo ''Ping'' Lacson expressed fear for his life yesterday after receiving death threats in connection with his alleged involvement in Dacer-Orbito case.
Senior Supt. Michael Rey Aquino, known as the closest officer to Lacson, in a press conference yesterday also assailed the alleged black propaganda against Lacson, who is now running for senator under the opposition banner slate, being waged by police officers who were affected by the no-nonsense reform drive Lacson instituted during his term as PNP chief.
He said these officers are now linking him to various criminal activities such as his alleged involvement in the Dacer case so that his detractors can use the issue to discredit Lacson and derail his senatorial bid.
Seven former officers and members of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force (PAOCTF) have been charged with conspiracy to kidnap and kill PR man Salvador "Bubby" Dacer and his driver Manuel Corbito.
Deputy Director General Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. said he has been advised by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the abolition of PAOCTF last Saturday, to be replaced by a new group.
Ebdane, who was promoted recently to three-star police officer, is the concurrent PNP deputy director administration, second highest post in the PNP.
Aquino statement
Senior Supt. Michael Ray Aquino issued the following statement yesterday:
"Even before top officials of the NBI and PNP 'who requested anonymity' began insinuating through the media about my alleged involvement in the Dacer case, persons close to me have already warned me that certain personalities in the PNP who want to exact revenge wanted to implicate me in the case.
"In fact, on Jan. 20 or a day after EDSA 2, Chief Supt. Romulo Sales, my superior at the Intelligence Group, informed me that high-ranking police officials who are known to be at odds with PAOCTF are working double time to implicate me in the Dacer case.
"I have also been told that some senior police officials, including those whom we jailed and charged in court for criminal offenses such as kidnapping and illegal drugs, were out to liquidate me along with my superior and former PNP chief Director General Panfilo Lacson.
"They actually attempted this at the height of EDSA 2 shortly before General Lacson decided to withdraw PNP support from President Estrada. Shortly thereafter, I started to receive threats through text messages in my cell phone and even through my e-mail. Meanwhile, death threats, obviously coming from the same group, continue to reach me through my classmates and colleagues in the PNP.
"That my name would be linked to the Dacer case comes as no surprise to me especially after Director General Lacson, with whom I am closely identified, decided to run for senator. At first, I merely laughed off insinuations in the media that I have something to do with the disappearance of Dacer. I just said to myself I have nothing to worry about since these are false accusations and are part of the demolition job and black propaganda campaign against Director General Lacson.
"Recent developments, however, confirmed my worst fear that just to get even with me, unscrupulous PNP officials would go to the extent of coaching alleged witnesses to point to me as the brains behind the Dacer abduction.
"I wouldn't be surprised if later on, 'pieces of incriminating evidence' like the white Bally shoes of Dacer, which could be readily bought abroad, would be planted on my person to make sure that they have a case on me. What is happening now, I believe, is no longer a demolition jor or a mere black propaganda operation. This is already a criminal frame-up, which is most foul."
Aquino appealed to officers of the CIDG and NBI not to allow themselves to be used for partisan political ends. "May I remind you that it is your duty as law enforcers to ensure that innocent persons are not framed up and that 'witnesses' are not forced to admit crimes and point to other persons as their alleged accomplices," he said.

The case of publicist Salvador "Bubby" Dacer is a strange one indeed.
First, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) announces to the public that the case has been solved, as its officials presented before the media, two eyewitnesses and a bag of charred bones plus dentures that they claimed were Dacer's and his driver Emmanuel Corbito's but which still had to undergo DNA testing for positive verification.
Then one witness showed the media a pair of brown loafers which he claimed belonged to Dacer and which the killers gave him for his own use. He even went to the extent of claiming that the pair of shoes used to be white, but that they were brown today because he had dyed the pair brown.
Based on the eyewitness account, certain cops identified with former Philippine National Police chief Panfilo Lacson, were implicated in the "murder" of Dacer and Corbito.
It was later discovered that the pair of shoes shown by the witness could not have belonged to Dacer or Corbito. And forensics still had not determined whether the charred bones were human bones.
It was much too evident that the so-called eyewitnesses were lying through their teeth and the NBI certainly knew it. But NBI chief Reynaldo Wycoco continued to peddle the story and came up with the ridiculous claim that in the case of Dacer, the corpus delicti was not the body but the killing itself. Duh!
It was clear that the Arroyo government, its Justice department and the NBI were more than willing to frame their foes with a murder rap, which does not speak too well of the Arroyo government.
Other questions arise: Why was the skull never found? Why weren't other pieces of jewelry, which Dacer normally wears, found in the site where he and his driver were said to have been burned to a crisp four months ago?
A priest suddenly surfaced and claimed he had overheard Fidel Ramos' man, Jose Almonte, talking to the Dacer children and telling them to keep on mourning for their father as if he were really dead while Almonte communicates with the kidnappers.
The same priest also went to the "murder" site and concluded that given the report that Dacer and his driver were burned to a crisp, the site would have shown a bigger burnt area.
Not too long after, the children of Dacer suddenly called a press conference claiming they have accepted the fact that their father is dead, as they had the bones and dentures checked by a private physician. They also claimed that found in the same murder site were the dentures as well as pieces of jewelry that belonged to their father.
This development raises more questions than answers. How is it possible for the family to have gotten another set of dentures and bones after the NBI had already been through the site with its "evidence"? More to the point, did the NBI surrender the "evidence" to the Dacer family for a private test? Why couldn't the NBI find the jewelry and the denture which the family suddenly found long after the NBI had combed the place? How could a private physician positively identify the dentures and bones when they were presumably with the NBI forensics unless there were of course two sets of dentures and bones, both belonging to Dacer, which would be too incredulous.
Then too, what does this make of those eyewitnesses, who claimed they saw Dacer and his driver murdered and burned to a crisp?
What does this make too, of the Dacer children who claim to have found the jewelry in the same murder site, a development which doesn't quite jibe with the eyewitness' account. If the murderers were generous enough to give away a pair of shoes, wouldn't they also have taken the jewelry Dacer was wearing?
Even more strange is that Fidel Ramos who first tipped off the cops that Dacer was missing after the publicist was late for an hour for his meeting, didn't quite say why he didn't bother to call back Dacer, who had a mobile phone with him, to first check out if he was indeed missing.
And wonder of wonders. The day the Dacer children claimed that their father was indeed dead, Ramos had, in the newspapers, a condolence note, claiming too, that Dacer was dead.
It's the strangest case yet, and what seems clear is that too many people want the case closed, with the conclusion that Dacer is dead.
One wonders why there is that rush to declare Dacer dead.

Si Ramos ang nagpaalis kay Dacer para palabasing patay na, ayon sa usapan nila nina Almonte na narinig ng Pari. Kung nagawang traidorin ni Ramos ang pinsan niyang si Marcos na matapos siyang bihisan at pag-aralin sa West Point. Lalong gagawin niya iyon kay Erap.

Wala nang binabanggit tungkol doon sa DNA test, baka kasalukuyang niluluto doon sa loob ng NBI at kapag na doktor na saka nila ibubunyag sa PDI. Tingnan natin kung anong milagro naman ang ibabalita nila.
Tama ka tungkol sa sinabi mong pagsunog sa patay. Bukod sa malakas na apoy ang kailangan ay tiyak na may makakaamoy nito sa buong kapaligiran kaya't hindi malayong malaman nang tao na may sinusunog. There seems to be abundance of abuse of power lately. If the GMA government can allow this to happen, where will ordinary citizens go when they are molested or abuse by criminals at night and same are peace officers during the day?
This will make the NPA gain more followers and the
MILF look more dignified and stable. Come to think about it Hashim Salamat is more reasonable and truthful than GMA in dealing with his follwers. The MILF has a mission; to have their country so that they can ameliorate their own people in their own way. No stealing, no drugs and no murders.

Iyung hindi nila magawa kay Marcos, napakadali nilang nagawan ng aksyon ngayon dito kay Estrada. Totoo lahat ang sinabi mo pareng Kabit10u! Kung totoong nagnakaw si Erap ng bilyun-bilyong piso ay sisibat na iyan noon pang binibigyan siya ng exit. Siguro hindi na siya dapat pang pumasok sa larangang ito dahil nahahalatang medyo urong sulong siya sa mga bagay na dapat ay agresibo ang kanyang pasok. Hindi gulo ang iniiwasan ngayon ni Erap kundi ang kanyang pagkawala sa kampanya ng LDP at PMP.

Kung mababasa mo ang mga librong sinulat tungkol kay Marcos at Joma, malalaman mo kung bakit patuloy na may tumatangkilik sa kanya. Financial analysts strongly believe the safe rescue of American hostage Jeffrey Schilling from the hands of the Abu Sayyaf last week would prove beneficial for the Philippine market, it was learned Monday.

At siguro nakita ng gobyerno na may dobleng pakinabang kung makakalaya itong tao, una ay magpapasalamat ang Kano sa Pilipinas at pangalawa ay may contact na si GMA at Ramos para makipag-deal sa MILF tungkol sa mga armas at sandatang kailangan nila buhat kay Schilling. Yung isang kamay ni Gloria sa kanya ay may malaking kahulugan gayundin yung kay Manero.
Kapapadala lamang ng Saudi ng $20 million para daw sa pagpapa ayos ng mga kampo sa Mindanao. Magkano kaya ang mapupunta kay Schilling, kay GMA at Ramos, at magkano naman ang talagang gagamitin para sa mga tao? Simula na ito ng Oakland Connection! Hehehe.

Padre Kabit10U, di ba sabi ni Bacani accdg to the parish priest he heard Almonte telling the Dacer family to pretend Mourning for their father's death, he will be flown straight to the US. Nandiyan lang iyan sa El Dorado Park Estates sa Los Alamitos. Maybe if one of these Cybernauts will watch Dacer's house they might see him throwing their trash in the backyard.

I DO not quite buy Raymund Fortun’s comparison of Erap with Jesus Christ. From where I stand, I can see a number of differences between the two.
First, there were three crosses when Jesus was crucified and two belonged to thieves. The one that did not, belonged to Jesus. One of the two thieves eventually espied Jesus’ divinity through a haze of pain and begged his forgiveness. To which he answered, "Today, thou shalt be with me in Paradise."
There was only one cross when Erap was crucified and it belonged to a thief. There was one other thief at his crucifixion, but he was a spectator. He was the one who readily admitted he was a thief and asked for his community’s forgiveness, pointing to Erap as the bigger thief who ought to be crucified. To which Erap answered, "One day, thou shalt be with me in jail."
Second, Jesus Christ walked among many women, some of whom were prostitutes, but he never solicited their services. Of course some radical scholars and intrepid writers like Nikos Kazantzakis believe that Christ was not a masochist and so found solace in the arms of one Mary Magdalene, a well-known streetwalker, or tent visitor, in her time. But it is safe to say that he confined his knowledge of them generally to, well, less than Biblical ways.
Erap walked among many women, many of whom were prostitutes, and he solicited services from all of them. Of course some radical supporters and intrepid lawyers like Raymund Fortun say he was just an unfortunate wretch who could not control his hormones and so sought solace in the arms of well-known stars--and stripes (airlines stewardesses)--in their prime. Even going to the extent of making them permanent, well, Biblical providers, and building huge multicolored (and multi-tiered) tents for them.
Third, Jesus Christ had 13 apostles, and only one of them turned out to be a betrayer, who was Judas Iscariot. He it was who turned his back on the man he had sworn to follow and turned him over to the authorities for 30 pieces of silver. And did so with a kiss, the kiss of death. "Is it I, Lord?" all of them asked Jesus at the Last Supper. Jesus was quiet except when Judas asked the same question, and then he said, "You said it."
Erap has 13 apostles, and all of whom are betrayers, who are, well, they call themselves "Puwersa ng Masa." They are the people who have turned their backs on the nation they have sworn to uplift, not to speak of not rob, and sold it to the devil for well over than 30 pieces of silver, even taking into account 2,000 years of inflation. And who come now patting dogs, shaking hands, and grinning from ear to ear before the people while giving them the kiss of death. "Is it I, am I the betrayer?" they will soon ask the voters in their Last Appear. "You bet your ass," they will say, and give them 0-13.
Fourth, Jesus Christ had only one name, it was the devil who had many names. "Who are you?" Jesus asked the devil, as he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the desert preparatory to taking a public life. "I go by many names," the devil answered, "but I’m sure you know me." And he proceeded to regale Christ with all sorts of worldly temptations, chief of them wine and women. "Begone from me, accursed one," Jesus said, refusing to deviate from his mission, and sent him back to the hole he crawled from.
Erap has many names, it is people like Emma Lim and Clarissa Ocampo who have only one. "Who are you?" the devil once asked Erap while he feasted for 1,001 days and 1,001 nights in the palace preparatory to indulging in the pleasures of the flesh. "I go by many names," he answered, "but I’m sure Equitable Bank will vouch for me." And he proceeded to regale the visitor all sorts of bankbooks, many of them filled with the names of women. "You are a man after my heart," the devil said, "as well indeed as that other Velarde, the accursed one who preaches every Saturday at the park," and invited him to the hole he crawled from.
Fifth, Jesus Christ performed miracles of a wondrous kind. He turned water into wine, walked on water, and turned a few loaves of bread and fishes into thousands. He made the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk. He even made the dead come to life again. He did all this while giving people to see that the true miracle lay not in these things but in the miracle of life, in the wonder of the earth and sky, in the beauty of faith.
Erap has also performed miracles but of a benighted kind. He turned 500-dollar bottles of wine into water, walked on thin ice, turned a personal fortune of a few million pesos into billions. He has made the seeing blind, the hearing deaf, the upright lame. Feel free to supply names there. He even once made the dead come to life again, but that was only with the aid of Viagra. He did these things while giving people to believe that the real miracle lay not in their capacity to do things but in the miracle of smoke and shadow, in the wonder of circus and circus (there was no bread), in the bliss of ignorance.
Sixth, Jesus Christ cleansed the temple of gamblers, merchants and prostitutes. He turned their tables over and drove them away, shouting that the temple was a house of prayer, not a den of thieves. It was the first time he had gotten angry in public, and he was magnificent in his fury.
Erap built a temple to gamblers, merchants and prostitutes. He made a casino of the country, he gave refuge to the merchants of death, also called the PAOCTF, and he built mansions, if not temples, to women of loose clothing. Miraculously, the people overturned their tables and drove them away, shouting the republic was a house of decency, not a den of thieves. It was the second time they had gotten angry in public, and they were magnificent in their fury--even if the Roman publicists, in the form of Time Magazine, could not see it that way.
Seventh, Jesus Christ taught by parables, Erap taught by Eraptions. Jesus Christ caused Pontius Pilate to wash his hands off him. Erap caused Hilario Davide to strip him of his crown. Jesus Christ was crucified, died and was buried; on the third day, he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. Erap was crucified, died and was buried; on the third month, he tried to rise from the dead; he descended into despair, lieth at the far side of Loi, the Martyr Forever.
Finally, years later, they made a rock opera called "Jesus Christ, Superstar." Years later, they’ll make a porn flick called, "Joseph Estrada, Superstud."

During the Holy Week, most Filipinos become either too religious or do away with religion altogether and spend the next three days on vacation.
But it is usually on Easter week that the gloom that accompanies Holy Week disperses and brings about laughter, usually focused on religious humor, which normally borders on irreverence.
Not wanting to break tradition, here's loads of religious humor. Laugh on!
Three men, who go by the names of Bro. Mike Velarde, Bro. Wilde Almeda and Ka Erdie Manalo, arrive at the gates of heaven. St. Peter asks Bro. Mike, "Religion?"
Brother Mike replies, "El Shaddai."
St. Peter looks down his list and says, "go to room 24. But be very quiet as you pass room 8."
To Bro. Wilde Almeda, St. Peter asks, "Religion?"
Almeda replies "Jesus Miracle Crusade, St. Peter."
St. Peter looks down his list and says, "Go to room 14. But be very quiet as you pass room 8."
To Ka Erdie Manalo, St. Peter asks also: "Religion?"
The third man replies, "Iglesia ni Cristo."

Fr. Reyes, thinking about what he said, nudges Erap and apologizes. "I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to be so harsh. How long have you had arthritis?"
"Oh, I don't have it, Father. It says here in the Inquirer that Jaime Cardinal Sin does."
A Briton, a Frenchman and a Filipino were viewing a painting of Adam and Eve frolicking in the Garden of Eden.
"Look at their reserve, their calm," muses the Brit. "They must be British."
"Nonsense," the Frenchman disagrees. "They're naked, and so beautiful. Clearly, they are French."
"No way," the Filipino says. "Look, they have no clothes, no shelter," he points out. "They have only an apple to eat, and they're being told this is paradise. They are Filipinos living under the rule of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo."
As you know, St.Peter guards the gates of heaven. One day he needed to be out for a millisecond, so he asked Jesus to guard the gates for a while.
Jesus, being a very kind and willing man, said he would.
It didn't take too long for a man to appear. He started to walk toward Jesus.
When the man got to the gates, Jesus thought he looked very familiar. He was an old man with a beard.
Jesus asked, "I don't mean to be nosy sir, but did you have any children?"
The man replies, "Yes. One son, but he died. He had nails put through him."
"And what was your work while on earth?"
"I was a carpenter," says the man.
Jesus says, "Father?"
The man says, "Pinnochio."
Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Helmut Schmidt, along with Erap, Gloria, Cory, Fidel and a few others have all died and gone to the pearly gates. On arrival they are told by St Peter that heaven is all roads and motorways. To get about they each receive a car, the make and model depending on how they lived and loved on earth. Blair got a Rolls Royce, Schmidt, a Mercedes, Clinton, a Lincoln, while Cory, Gloria, Fidel got a mini, with Erap getting a scooter.
They are all happily driving about and Cory, Gloria and Fidel stop and have a chat. Erap drives past with his scooter and all three break out laughing.
"Are you laughing at me because I'm in my scooter? Shouts Erap. "You''ll laugh harder when you see Jaime Cardinal Sin. He's on a pair of roller blades."

Sa lahat ng mga balitang nabasa ko tungkol sa pagkaligtas niya mula sa Abbu Sayaf ay wala ni isa mang kataga na nanggaling sa kanya, ni pasalamat o pagpuri sa mga sundalong sumaklolo sa kanya ay wala!
Hindi siguro siya makapaniwala na ang isang maliit na presidenteng katulad ni Gloria ay magagawang iligtas siya mula sa mga mamamatay taong muslim. Kaganda ganda ng buhay niya sa states kung bakit naisip isipang magpahuli at maging hostage doon sa Mindanao!
Huwag ka nang makabalik balik pa, walang utang na loob! At yung asawa niyang Pinay hindi mo nakitang kasama niya at kumamay kay GMA, iniwan na rin yata! Grrrrr!!

That was a dumb, if not an idiotic, move of President Arroyo to get herself photographed smiling and shaking hands with the priest-killer, Norberto Manero Jr, and saying to Manero, for all the members of the press to hear, "Welcome back."
Do her handlers know anything at all? Do they at the very least, know the difference between a good photo opportunity and a disastrous event captured on camera?
Why she even had to meet a convict is bad enough. Why does a convict even be brought before the President and presented to the public, too?
Manero had already surrendered to the authorities a day before. What should have followed was for the jail officials to lock him up in his old cell and that should have been that.
But no. After Manero surrendered and should have been brought to jail, he was either flown or shipped out to Zamboanga City — where Mrs. Arroyo flew in for a visit — and presented to her, and without handcuffs either.
What does this say of the clout Manero has, whether it is with the jail officials or with national officialdom?
It was quite obvious that the cannibalistic Manero is being given the special treatment. How many convicted murderers ever get to come up close to the President of the Republic and get to shake her hand?
It is almost certain it was Manero who asked for this face-to-face meeting with Mrs. Arroyo, which was probably one of the conditions he set for his surrender. If so, this speaks badly of the President since she so easily caves in to pressure from even low-ranking officials and even murderers.
If this was the handiwork of her handlers, then she has surrounded herself with idiots. Either that, or there must be something in the saying that like attracts like.
If she and her handlers wanted to convey the message, through that meeting, that under her leadership, even convicts crumble, the message went phfft as the opposite was instead conveyed, and strongly too.
Mrs. Arroyo was idiotic enough to meet up with the priest-killer and an escaped convict to boot. It was even more idiotic of her to shake hands with the priest-killer. And Santa Maria! She even gave him a wide smile!
What message did she think she was conveying to the Filipino public when she smiled at Manero, shook his uncuffed hand and even said, "Welcome back?"
"Welcome back" to what? To jail? But his cell is not in Zamboanga but in another province. "Welcome back to the fold?" But he's no rebel returnee, so why the greeting?
Mrs. Arroyo was quoted as saying that Manero's turning himself in without any concessions granted by the government was only an indication that her administration will impose the law fairly on all individuals regardless of their status.
Is what she is saying for real? Is she for real?
The fact alone that Manero was able to meet with her, by getting out of his safehouse in Cotabato and being shipped out to Zamboanga, and without handcuffs, already showed that she and her administration have failed to evenly impose the law on all individuals.
Just how many convicts get this kind of special treatment?
Just how many convicts get to tell the President and high-ranking government officials of their long, drawn out litigation and the poor conditions in jail?
And just how many convicts get photographed with the President, and shake hands with her too?
No concessions, did she say?
As the Chinese say, one picture is worth a thousand words.
That photograph of Mrs. Arroyo smiling at, and pumping flesh with Manero, says a heck of a tasteless mouthful.

Perez confirmed that Lopez and Diloy have been criminally charged with drug possession but said the two will eventually end up as state witnesses.
"If I were the lawyer of these people, I would prefer to be charged, my clients to be charged and then later on discharged. And when they are charged, arraigned and later discharged, there is double jeopardy. But if they were never charged to begin with, they could be charged again with a change in government administration," he said.
"Lopez and Diloy will be used as state witnesses of the government and in fact we have extended the protection of the government not only to them but also to members of their family," Perez added.
NBI-National Capital Region Director Samuel Ong said the government agents were armed with a search and warrant of arrest for illegal possession of drugs to make their arrest of Lopez and Diloy "legal".
"The warrant of arrest was just a MERE PLOY to make all our operation legal. We cannot arrest any person unless we have a warrant," Ong said.
Mere ploy, huh? BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

hey leon, how can sec. nani’s witnesses still be credible when even the NBI now admits that the pair of topsiders does not belong to either Dacer or Corbito. One of the Dacer daughters confirmed this fact.
So what does THAT tell you about your “witness”, who said that the dyed brown pair was given to him by the murderers of the bubby dacer and his driver, huh? Can he still be a CREDIBLE witness, huh?
If it wasn’t dacer’s shoes, then where did this witness get the shoe from, THAT’S THE QUESTION!
Besides, how can you trust this “witness” who claimed before media and police that Dacer was first brought to the garage of William Lopez (this is where dacer and his driver were were hogtied and their heads covered with masking tape). But when a Channel 7 reporter went to the William’s home, THERE WAS NO GARAGE.

Your justice secretary, nani perez, even made a statement saying that the a DNA test on the “dacer’s” bones is not that important…claiming that the DNA tests anyway would merely be "corroborative" in nature…
Ulol niya! The DNA test would be THE conclusive evidence, not the corroborative evidence.
Perez says DNA tests may not be possible since the bones were too charred…
Screw him, the state and age of the bones do not change anything in the DNA tests.
I really can’t understand why they nani perez and the DOJ can’t wait for the DNA test to produce it’s final results? Don’t they want to know for certain if it is really dacer’s and corbito’s bones or not?

Palibhasa itong DNA test ay bago, ginagawa nilang lokohan ang usapan sa pamamagitan ng pagwawalang halaga dito dahil walang kalusot lusot kung lumabas ang resulta nito. Masahol pa ito sa fingerprint na nabubura o nareretoke.
Pero alam mo na ang Pinoy, magagaling sa kalokohan. Har har har! Iyang ebidensiyang DNA test, kung hindi nila maibabasura ay gagawan ng paraan. Susunugin yung laboratoryo o bigla na lang mawawala ito. Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Not even a mother's plea could soften the government's hardline stance on the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) as President Arroyo on Saturday turned down Carol Schilling's appeal to negotiate the release of her son from the bandits.
It’s cause for rejoicing, of course, that Buan has finally been released unharmed. Another captive of the NPA, Police Chief Inspector Abelardo Martin (the police chief of Dolores town in Quezon province, in the same area) was not as fortunate. In early March, the NPA band holding Martin clashed in a firefight with pursuing troops and Martin was fatally wounded in the crossfire.
Reyes said the government wants ASG to release Schilling but without any conditions.
"The guidelines and instructions of the President is clear to the [Department of Defense] and [Armed Forces of the Philippines]. The instruction is that we demand the immediate and unconditional release of Jeffrey Schilling," Reyes said in the same news briefing.
In the case of Major Buan, our joy surely must be tempered by the fact that the Arroyo government had to release more than a dozen Communist prisoners from military prison in exchange. Let’s not forget that trade-off. Another trade-off is that the government is now going to begin "peace talks" with the NPA and National Democratic Front – led by CPP Chief Joma Sison and the defrocked Fr. Luis Jaland,oni – in some unnamed Scandinavian country, possibly Norway.

Kung balita't balita ang paguusapan, mayroon ding nagagawa paminsan minsan ang PDI tulad noong lumabas na eskandalo tungkol sa PEA-Amari noong panahon ni Ramos. Pero magmula nang mahalal si Erap ay diyan na naging palasitsit ang mga balita dito at lalo pa nang makainitan sila gaya nang Manila Times.
Ang gusto ko talaga sa Abante ay yung mga chicks nila sa Entertainment Section, talo ang PDI. Hehehe. Ganda!

Akala ko pa naman ay matigas talaga itong si Erap, yun pala isang rally lamang doon sa EDSA ay natakot na siya. Hindi siguro niya nalalamang may mga tao pa rin tapat sa kanya at handa siyang ipagtanggol pero nabigla siguro siya nang magbitiw sina Reyes, Mercado, at Lacson. Hehehe. Ayan, para tuloy siyang natalong sabungero na lupaypay at umiiyak! Kasalanan din niya iyang nangyari sa kanya pero itong mob justice ang hindi niya nagawan ng hakbang. Huhuhu!

haven't you noticed when fr. baldostamon came out with his revelation on jose almonte's role in the bubby dacer case, and coupled with ampy and sabena denial of the alleged violent altercation between Estrada and Dacer at the latter’s visit to Malacañang... that the Ramos/Almonte party and the Inquirer, suddenly became silent on this issue.
well, i can certainly understand why ramos and almonte would keep their mouths shut, but the silence coming from the pdi IS DEAFENING.
the days before fr. baldostamon dropped the bombshell, pdi was coming up with new revelations about the dacer case almost on a DAILY BASIS. it insinuated that erap and lacson are the main culprits behind dacer's disappearance.
and pdi, well.... pdi never wanted to touch this hot potato anymore (5 straight days… 5 straight days without any dacer story). my guess is that if they're gonna continue reporting about the dacer case, then they also have to report about fr. baldostamon's revelation. it's a very "tough choice" for the "fearless newspaper". but in the end, their editors decided NOT to pursue this story anymore.
this is certainly one instance where they are not living up to their "fearless news" style of reporting. heh heh... more like "protecting the special interests" and doing "damage control" to me... nyuk nyuk nyuk...
there are a lot of other things that is not being reported THAT SHOULD BE REPORTED. IMPSA scam anyone? (new one, and yes, this early from gma's administration)

Basta tungkol kay Erap, buhay na buhay ang gobyerno, ang media at ang mga komunista! Huwag mo nang asahang ang mga diyaryong sipsip kay Ramos at GMA ay magbubulatlat pa ng mga negatibong balita tungkol kay Dacer lalo pa't naririnig pala ang mga paguusap ng mga nagpapakana nitong pagtatago sa kanya.
Katulad ni Sabit Singson, si Dacer ay isa lamang kasangkapan ni Ramos upang magkaroon ng hinala ang mga tao na si Erap at Lacson ang may utak sa kanyang pagkawala. Natural, ngayong may lumalabas na kontra doon sa pinagsasabi ni Tabako at Perez, ayaw na nilang ipagpatuloy pa ito dahil lalo lamang makakasama ang balita sa 13-0 ng PPC! Har har har!

Kung talagang gusto ni GMA ang isang malinis na gobyerno, dapat niyang ipagutos na kunin mula sa NBI ang lahat ng ebidensya tungkol sa sinasabing labi ng katawan ni Dacer at ipadala ito sa States upang masuri at mabigyan ng DNA test ng mga Kano at hindi yang mga upahang ahente ng NBI ang gagawa nito sapagka't sa mga nangyayari ngayon ay malamang na biglang mawala ang mga ebidensiyang ito.
Sa aking sapantaha, kung mabubuko ang sinumang utak ng pagkawala ni Dacer ay gagawa sila ng ebidensiyang magsisilbi para sa kanilang kagustuhang palabasin na si Dacer ay patay na. Gusto nilang mapawalang bisa ang ibang sinabi na itong tao ay buhay na buhay at nakatago sa ibang bansa. Noong bumaba itong eroplano ng kano sa Hainan, parang biglang nagpasko sa China sapagka't punong puno ng makabagong teknolohiya na gamit sa pag eespiya ito. Kung may nagawa mang pagkasira sa inpormasyon bago pa nakuhang pasukin ng mga Intsik ang eroplano, hindi rin magtatagal at matututuhan ito ng mga eksperto nila.
Sa makatuwid, napadali ang programa ng China tungkol sa paggawa ng spy plane at salamat ng marami kay Uncle Sam dahil nakatipid sila ng malaking kuwarta at panahon. Hehehe.
