The John Baird has reopened following a major refurbishment which has seen the removal of pool tables, juke box and kids to be replacrd with a quality local that offers 5 real ales, 15 wines, capuccino and a new thai restaurant called the 'Black Orchid'.

What a superb improvement to this pub!!! Muswell Hill caters very well for the 18-20 year old markets but there isn't much for those that are older so it's great to have a nice new upmarket boozer.

I'm also amazed that there has never been a Thai restaurant in Muswell Hill and so this is also a great addition along with the Japanese Hi Sushi that is set to open very soon on Colney Hatch Lane.
