HI LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,

I'm glad to introduce myself as a newcomer.

My name is JO KOLTEN, I graduated from the Lycee Classique Luxembourg (languages, HR), I'm a Luxembourg citizen and I am 53 years old. I’m a Senior "hands-on" Manager with an extensive HR and Management experience. So far I have spent my whole working career with multi-national companies in senior management functions. Besides having worked in different European countries, I attended some practical training in California (1980), North Carolina (1982) and Michigan (1990). I spent 5 ½ years in Jakarta/Indonesia in the capacity of a Senior HR Consultant.

1965-1979 : MONSANTO CIE / USA & Luxembourg - Human Resources Manager
1979-1981 : PLANET SA / UK & Luxembourg - Director Human Resources
1981-1983 : GUARDIAN INDUSTRIES / USA & Luxembourg - Director Human Resources
1983-1984 : LUXALUM SA / USA & Luxembourg - Director Human Resources
1984-1988 : YVES ROCHER / France & Luxembourg - General Manager
1988-1990 : PRESSS SARL / Luxembourg - Owner & General Manager
1990-1990 : ITC / USA, Luxembourg, Indonesia - Senior Board Advisor
1990-1992 : PT MULIA GROUP / Indonesia - Training & Development Manager
1992-1996 : INDEPENDENT / Indonesia - Senior Human Resources Consultant
1996-now : INDEPENDENT / Luxembourg - Senior HR/Management Consultant

I have an extensive experience in:
- all fields related to HR (30 years exp.)
- directing & supervising employees of all levels (30 years exp.)
- business dealing with people from over 30 nationalities (30 years exp.)
- close exposure to operations (11 years exp.)
start-up of new facilities (9 years exp.)
- managing a company/plant (6 years exp.)

Miscellaneous:
I speak and write fluently English, German, French, Luxembourgish and I have some notions of bahasa Indonesia.
During my stay at Jakarta I have edited a multitude of Management Training Programmes, all related to HR, like communications, company-mindedness, interviewing, wage & salary administration, job evaluation, performance evaluation, motivation, supervisory skills, management by objectives (results), ......
