Libraries-great idea

Libraries--Now thats a very profitable idea for our dear Highlands. Libraries=the opportunity to learn more. Without knowledge, people perish. With Knowledge, people survive.

Well you obviously miss the point @ KiNG. Libraries are there to facilitate the need to be informed about...anything. Magazines and novels and brochures and newspapers might be informative, but only to some extent. Having a library would be even better if people like to read.

I support the idea along with Vienn and Sunny, that there should be more libraries, or better ones, at that.

That is absolutely true sunny, even the old library if you can recall in town next to the now deloitte towers has been converted into a pharmacy. It's quite that public library are no longer a priority.

Having said that, we can see a proliferation of Internet Cafes. It's quite positive however this should be complimented by increase in availablity of specific subject literature..such as textbooks, journals etc..which are impossible to read online.

Hopefully, the new ICT policy encourages and advocates public library facilities to enhance learning and infromation utilisation.

Mi sapos em go pinis long taim bihain. Turangu. I wonder where all the books from these Libraries have gone? They must be stored somewhere. I hope they are somewhere cool and dry. The tropical climate can play havco with badly stored paper.

Curious......Ralph.
