"Bob Ridley works his magic...

A while back I was fortunate enough to acquire a 5508 with box and papers. One of the most striking elements to this particular watch for me was the patina. It was keeping fairly good time but as everyone here knows RSC wouldn't go near this watch with a 10 foot pole. So how do I treat such a gem to maintain it's beauty? I send it to Bob Ridley.

I knew of him purely by his reputation on the various Rolex forums and didn't hesitate for one second to send him this watch for his once-over.

Once Bob received the watch he gave me a call and went through in extreme detail how he would tackle this project, allowing me to fully understand his passion for his work.

Cosmetically it really didn't need much work.
