Note: "Here are the photos of 1959. Rolex Submariner Ref. 5512. The watch came to my possession in June 2007. It is an unusual piece for two reasons: first, it came with original box and papers and second, it was manufactured in 1959., which would make it one of the first 5512 models produced. It was sold on 10th July 1961. and the serial number is 578536.

The dial appears to be an old repaint and re-lume job- the watch was in constant use for many years with repair markings dating 02/71, 09/82 and 05/06. Calibre 1530, 25 jewel movement is in very good condition including original butterfly rotor." - N.H.
