Hello All,
I was involved in that fiasco with JEANS BEANS and I fel that they should be banned for life. They where issued cards by the Metis society in Saskatoon and I feel that thay also should be made to give all of there winnings back. My father played in this tourney in his day and my brother and I have been playing in this tourney for many years now and we have sen alot of top quality players come to B'ford because of this tourney. This has now come to an end because of this problem. Friendship Center, this is your tourney so it IS your problem. We as a people want respect in the community, yet we allow this to happen! What does that say about our morals? Its time the FRIENDSHIP CENTER starts listening to the people that know a bit more about hockey and politics than they do and realize what is going on here. If they dont think it is there problem then I fail to realize how they are working in the positions thay are in, oh yeah, native politics once again, my family is in the position of hiring. If we the young people dont start to stand up for what is right and try and change this perception of aborigional people, it will never change. This may seem trivial and unimportant to some. But think about it for a second, now people think hey, If we just pay our money to these guys, we can do and get away with anything we want. Good message guys, thanks for helping out the native community, no wonder people think the natives people are a joke!
