Last year's finallists at the annual Native Stanley Cup in North Battleford, the PA MIA (runner-up)and Jean's Beans (winner) met up again in tournament play last night in Saddle lake (AB). The result: 10-0, MIA over Jean's Beans. No, that wasn't a typo. I will post the results later this evening once I get them.

Looks like the PA MIA came back from the B-Side to win the Saddle Lake Tournament last night. MIA beat a pick-up team call Sea-Mak (or something like that) 8-1 in the final. Saddle Lake came in 3rd. Jeans Bean's did not place in top three. First place was supposed to be $5,000.00 but MIA got screwed over with the prize payout and just recieved $2,400 for winning. If you can't beat 'em, cheat 'em, haha. Tournament organizers just earned themselves a not-so-great reputation...

The tournament organizers should understand that the decisions that they make this year has bearing on a team's return the following year. Just like the Battleford tournament allowing the non-native players in the tournament last year, how many teams are not going back this year? I hope MIA doesn't return to Battleford as they were one of the teams that were screwed over there.

First off, I'm not from BC, I'm from God's true country (aka northern Saskatchewan)...and second, what I was doing was posting information passed on to me, information that would be of interest to readers, as you may have seen yourself there hasn't been much activity on here, so its getting to the point where any news is good news! Okay maybe the facts were wrong, and maybe if I was an actual sports journalist then I would double check on my facts and source(s)but alas I am not, now all you had to do was clarify the situation, rather than appear to take it personally and throw a jab while doing so...
