Response to OK, question for the believers
As detailed in the following messages, Alcor does provide coverage for reanimation in a trust. However, my question is, at the rate the world is changing today and all the violenc,e etc., who would REALLY and truly WANT to come back in 100 years? Who's to choose for you that it's your time to come back? You will not know a soul, no family, no job, and starting over at 80 years old (example) does not sound like a thrill to me. Afterall, you may be reanimated (?) But you are still in an 80 year old state of mind. Correct? I think after all the money that is paid to Alcor during the suspension over this time, one will be lucky that the company is still up and running. Much like social security, it's not expected to be around in 20 years and we spend all our lives putting in the pot....who's to say Alcor would be around when the time for reanimation occurs? If at all, it is "an expirement" and I don't find it comforting to know that after all the time and money put into suspension of myself, that I would be an "expirement"....maybe one can chose when to come out?
