Someone on Extropy is ridiculing the idea of the middle class.

I forget which thread I saw this in-- the ridicule of the middle class idea-- but it's there by someone and it's a bit frightening, especially since we're encountering conditions where the top 20% have passed the bottom 80% in wealth recently. The rich are getting richer and the poor poorer. Is this really good? I don't think so. How about you? Some of those Extropy guys are infused with a positive of "financial caste" system just like traditional East Indians have "caste" system. The "poor" (bad word to use but for lack of any other) are our "untouchables" and the "rich" are the priviledged. I'm not a socialist-- however I'm a "public works"-ist-- and republicanist-- and pro-nationalist where nationalism operates in a viable internationalist cooperative way.
