Since many of you gentlemen have been asking me how I did this or that model, I decided to make this thread on how I did a model.
The model I choose is Gervasio's Fokker F-28, a model he bought on a paper model store called Paper Models International (http://www.papermodels.net/). Here are some data:
* Scale 1/70
* Paper: Cardstock 110 lb
* Printed with a color toner printer by the seller.
* Glue: UHU
* Other materials: 1 mm wire, 2 mm dowel, 1 mm heavy card for formers.
Another hack to the elevators. The original design of this model, does NOT give you an internal structure, so I had to use a 1mm wire as a mean to give support.

Hacking part II: The wings. Chapter 1. The wings are in a reverse print, meaning that almost all paper models have their wings attached on the "front", but this one have the attach on the back. This little issue had to worked it out like this.
First, cut out the ailerons.

And use the black paper for the union.

Chapter 2. The wings on this model... alas! had no support either!!! We are talking about a heavy model made of paper here!! Anyway, another opportunity to hack it. This time, I used a couple of wood dowels for support.

Now the landing gear. In this case, the design has very simple tires... two circles with a strip. This meant trouble again. It is, as I mentioned, a very heavy plane, so the tires as designed, were not going to support the weight.
So I managed to hack them too. First, laminate the tire diagram to 1mm cardboard, each circle, so we can have 2mm tires.
[IMG][/IMG]
And then cut each tire...
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
And sand it to its round profile.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
Then paint it black with a marker.
