I just found this site while looking for info on Carlson's Raiders. It's been almost two yesrs since my dad died. He was a marine, who didn't like to talk much about the war or what he did. All I remember of his time in the marines was him telling a few stories about going by sub to a few islands to map gun implacements and take a prisoner weeks before an invasion was to take place. He was a member of Carlson's Raiders. Sorry we are losing so many from the "Great Generation". Bill Cronin
