came about after I had searched for information on the subject on the WWW without satisfactory results. I therefore decided to do the job myself. Lots of work and time involved, but it has proved to be a rewarding endeavor, and successful beyond my expectations.

Hopefully, many Marine Raiders will happen upon these pages and sign in; my thanks to those who have already done so.

My father-in-law, Charles Victor Cook served with the 2nd Raider Bn. from its inception until it was disbanded. He was an enlisted Marine. He passed away on Memorial Day 1998 at age 77. I am collecting anything related to his Raider days from all available sources for historical reason to give to his only grandson, Sean Philip Cook-Scott (born Sep 8, 1988).
If anyone remembers "Chuck" "Charlie" or "Charles" (he was known by all 3 names) or has any information about this wonderful patriot or about Carlson's Raiders, I can assure you that Sean and I would be deeply grateful.
