Hello Ed,
My records indicate there were two Marines with the last name of
Blanchard
who served in the Marine Raiders during WW II. The rank or
Battalion and
Company are not indicated, however. I will give you the e-mail
address of
the Asst. Curator of the Marine Raider museum who has the most
complete
roster that exists, but, you will have to provide the first name
for George
to make positive identification. The address follows;
(757) 498-9881
George MacRae
Asst.Curator Marine Raider Museum

I hope this will prove helpful--Semper Fidelis!

I'm trying to locate a Lt. Blanchard, who volunteered for the
(?) 2nd
Raider
Battalion in early 1943. I know that he lived in Ho-Ho-Kus, New
Jersey.
He
asked me to join him, but I refusked. I'm trying to find out
what happened
to him.

Thanks for any help you can give me!
