I came into aquaintance with a man by the name of gordon sawyer from red cloud, ne. gordon owned an antique store in town, and i would usually stroll by his shop on the weekends and talk to the man. being a wwii history buff, and a former marine, we talked about the war. Gordon had told me he was a corpsman with the a "raider bn" and he told me some pretty interesting stories about island fighting and one that struck me was a story of a island he was on where he came into contact with "giant size japs." i was wondering if anyone knows gordon, or has any information concerning if he was with a raider bn. i believe that the story that he told me (the one with the "giant size japs" was concerning an island that he was on with the raiders), and if anyone knows what island that would be, it would be interesting to know. i remember he told me that he had to stab one of those japanese a couple times just to make sure that he was dead because they were so big. gordon also gave me a ship made knife that he said that he used on the campaigns, and that he stuck the japanese with. the knife itself has a 8 inch double sided blade and the handle is aluminum with "u.s. 1942" inscribed on it. gordon and i were good friends, and unfortunately i left nebraska and he died about a year later. he was a good man, and i want to find out more information about him.. jon

I talked to many Marines that spoke of huge Jaanese and these were usually referred to Manchurian Marines. Can't say for sure but I seem to remember that some of the conversations were about Tarawa defenders but surely there were scattered units. They were generally seaking of the height. Hope this helps.

A former Marine who was 3/5 Marines on Guadalcanal had told me that there were tall Japs (Koreans he said)-

The Japs had auto weapons and they, Marines, had springfields and WW1 helmets when they landed.

An Aussie living on Guadalcanal says there's 10 foot
to 15 foot tall giants living on the mountain jungle interior of the island. They're like bigfoot, but there's 100s of them. They've been seen many times and the locals 100% believe it. He's got a website. Oh yeah, and they eat people!

This sounds amazing stuff here, the Guadalcanal Giants. Though I don't disbelieve this and I'm so over certain that there are people in secret depatments of government are in charge of this lot.

Have anyone got any film, video or still pictures of these people and their terrain?
