Recently found details in USMC Diary from my father's early days at PH. Accordingly he was assigned to the U.S.S.Yorktown in 1942, clearly before the Battle of the Coral Sea. Trying to piece together after the Battle of Midway-possibly then a GSgt, volunteered for and accepted to be a Raider. Sgt. Natzio Anthony (Tony) Bonina.
