Folks I'm trying to locate a US Navy veteran of WWII. This gentleman is
named William A. Bell. He was a Yeoman First Class (USNR) and the court
recorder for the war crimes trials held on Guam for Japanese personnel who
beheaded some Americans on Kwagelin Island during the time that Japanese
forces were in control of the area. The war crimes trials were held from
1946 up until 1949. I believe that YN1 Willaim A. Bell might be able to
identify where the executed Americans were buried on Kwagelin Island. I'm
not sure that YN1 Bell is still living, but I need to find out. Do any of
you have any information to help me get started looking for YN1 Bell? Are
you aware of any groups or associations who keep track of veterans from
WWII? Thanks, Bill Bell.
