there are plenty of IZH 46M pistols bought and sold as 'used' on the yellow classifieds. I'd start by looking at what cash you could reclaim if you wanted to get out. That would be your worst case, of course. You seem to take good care of your pistol, so there is no reason why you couldn't get most of your money back if needed.
When you look into it this way, you can relax and have fun knowing that you aren't just throwing out a lot of cash. After that, I say do what makes you happy and see for yourself which pistol works best for you! Wish I could be more help technically, but I've never shot a target pistol.
