What have I learned? Live, love, laugh and shoot an airgun! Today, I've reached 48 years young. My wife continues to ask what I'd like for my birthday, but I am too reserved to say, "A Daystate MKIV, just like Jim's, with tank".
Am I reserved or just plain chicken?
Either way, I can only say "what a complete joy the airgun community has been in my life!" I'm a rich man indeed!
WOW 48 !! You're still a baby . Hehe . My birthday was last week I slipped on over that hill at 58 ! I hope you have a good day , get a new airgun and shoot until "you're" tired of shooting . kirby

At 48 you ARE still a pup and younger than me by 10 years.
Of course Kirby is still older than me by a few months, and always will be! In September I turn 58 and am also thankful for all the friendships that I have made here and on a few other forums.
I am having more fun than I have had competing with powderburners, and have met with some of the nicest people also.
Rich, you have a lot of miles to go and a lot of lives to touch. Enjoy all of them!
I hope you are having a great day and gaining the courage to ask for that Daystate....

Have a Blessed day and take some time to shoot if that is what you like to do.
I did not realize that I am a senior member here Age wise that is.
Feel good to get older. You know what they say, 48 is really just 28 with 20 years of experience.
Kindest Regards my friend
I can see that after 48 years you have learned to measure wealth not by the amount of money you have, but by the community of long-lasting friendships you have built over the years. At 21, I look to you and other adult figures as examples of what I should strive for, so that by the time I'm 48, I will have obtained the wisdom of the sages!
Dad, I am glad to see that your forums are still going strong. It is nice to see that people still use the internet for positive things; that there are more important aspects to running a successful website besides making it to the top of Google.
I'm happy to have finally made an account on here. IMO, a forum post beats a Blue Mountain ECard any day!
Here I was reading and thinking to myself... "what a well spoken young guy this is" Was thoroughly impressed.... but not surprised when I saw the word 'Dad'... and put two and two together.
Nice to 'meet' you, Danny. Seems that your dad has done well.
I could have sent you an e-card, but I thought of a better way.
To tell you the truth, I don't read paper greeting cards either. As a child gets older, he starts to see less and less $20 bills stuffed inside of them!

That is very true ...

and soon you will be the one stuffing $20 bills in others birthday cards. With inflation, and by the time you have a teenager to care for, it will be $50 bills.
Hey Dan, nice thing about sending e-cards is that there is no place for the $20 or the $50.

One of the goals in my life is to leave a legacy. After I read your sons note I realized how far off my mark I have been.
I do not have children of my own but three wonderful step sons who are still trying to figure me out.
Now I see the direction to go and that is to just maintain the Charactor to lead and set the example just like you have done with your son.
I learned a very valuable lesson right here and I am not ashamed to admit it.
Consistancy is what it is all about. You Sir are a Rock Solid example of a good honorable Man.
