Jim of Precision Air Guns has agreed to let me use his location to arrange a fun shoot this winter. That would allow use of his indoor range and his substantial outdoor facility.
I offered to do this as Jim has his hands full running his business. I want to do this and make this a fun time for everyone. Needed from you fellows are some suggestions for a date, to be on some Saturday. Please suggest some games from Hunter Class field target to just bonfire cooking to just plinking.
Remember this will be a winter fun shoot so the weather may have some influence. On a sunny day it can be beautiful here in S E Michigan.
I am thinking Mid January and have some space at my house for travellers who would like to come.
I am about an hour from the Detroit airport and can pick any travellers up. I have a few guns to share if that works.
The goal is to not only endorse this sport but to encourage new folks to attend. There are a lot of quality men from my church that you all would enjoy meeting and get to know as well.
Of course there will be a cook out. Any local volunteers to help out would be appreciated as well.
What do you think?

I'd seriously consider it, Rick!

I can get the time off, just need more details about the event. If it helps to come a day earlier, than I'd talk about that with you. Sure would like to help if I can, then shoot and enjoy the company!

I've never met anyone who has accelerated so quickly in this sport as you. It must be like crack!

I would love to Rick however I doubt it would work out for me. January can be a very busy time of year in my line of business.

Thanks for the very generous offer!!!!

Date is flexible for now

From what I am hearing it looks like this could come about the first weekend in February.
Regardless of weather, there is an ample indoor range and lots of heat for the southern gents who don't know real cold.
If anyohne is thinking of coming and you are way out of town, check Spirit Airlines for low rates. You will need to sign up for the $9.00 fare club. Go to www.spiritair.com
I have flown to Florida many times for nine dollars plus tax and luggage but well under a total of $35.00.
I would like to meet anyone interested and it would be a great time for all to come.
Mark your calendars.

Count me in Rick...

I live pretty close to Jim and would enjoy a fun shoot. I missed the one in august cause I got called into work for an emergency(Social Security's roof-top A/C went down and it had to be going by the following monday). Should I start saving my squirrels for my famous(infamous) stir-fry squirrel?Lol. I could help set up also. Unless something unforseen happens,I see no problem being available to help in any way I can. I usually print up a bunch of targets for Jim's fun shoots and have a 5 Target trap that will stand up to big bore air guns(it's got a 1/4" thick hunk of steel mounted at a 60 Degree angle so no pellets get out). Let me know if the shoot comes together and I can help. Thanks.

Count on it happening

Ken
I am really looking forward to meeting you and shooting together. Yes please bring along as many targets as you can. You pellet trap sounds like a heavy unit so if you need help setting it up let me know. Jim has some new knock down targets as well and I just obtained a set of NRA knock downs from Noteworthy Targets that are pretty nice and still pretty for the moment.
Billy K Tunes will be there, Ron Ansuto will join us and a new air gunner he has encouraged. I think BB Gun Bob will join us. I am pretty excited about this and hopefully it will help speed up the winter.
Ever notice how quick times goes by when you have somthing to look forward to?
I am literally shooting for the First Saturday in February.
