| I was wondering if you were wanting to have video filters on your emulator.
If so, then I found three websites that would be worth a look at.
2xsai website
http://elektron.et.tudelft.nl/~dalikifa/
ADVANCEMame Scale2x (You had to e-mail the creator about generator so that he will add your site to his links that is using this filter.)
http://scale2x.soureforge.net
HQ3X (As used by ZSnes WIP)
http://www.hiend3d.com/hq3x
P.S. This isn't spam, just something for you to have a go on your emulator. 'Cause there aren't any Genesis emulators around that are using Video Filter (Except for GENS) and it would be great if Generator is the first to use it. |

*Every* graphics card sold during the last 3-4 years does pretty nice hardware filtering already. I patched my copy to use the overlay device of my
NVidia Geforce 440 MX (pretty cheap I know) and fullscreen looks *very* nice. Considering the pretty low resolution of the Genesis compared to today's standards, you see hardly any pixelization - the graphics are clear and smooth at the same time. My older card did nice filtering too but this is absolutely superior.
Maybe I'll find the time to contribute a clean patch. It's really not that hard if you spend a few hours digging into SDL. | |
