I'm a firm believer in God, but I hate what religion has done to people, tearing them apart, placing them under huge burdens of guilt and condemnation, pitting them against each other in wars throughout history, it has been used to justify all manner of atrocities.
IT'S TIME WE ALL LEARNED TO GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER.
That said, the US cannot just stand still and take it in the chin from these bastards. But we need to be extremely careful about what we do about it. Anything that we do will likely cause reprocussions, but not doing anything is leaving the US open to further attacks by the people who did this.
