I've returned from my trip, unscathed. Unfortunately is was very cold and very rainy the whole time, which pretty much ruled out the biking. As for the rafting, well, I've done the purple-lipped, teeth-chattering, hypothermia-inducing rafting thing before, but for some reason I just wasn't in the mood to spend the weekend freezing. My girlfriend didn't seem too keen on the idea either, and since she donsn't have a wetsuit like I do, it would have been hell for her.
SO...
We decided to see all the local attractions that we'd never gotten around to seeing before. Things like caverns, taverns, historical places, and even a castle! This turned out to be a lot of fun, and we were busy the whole time. We tried a new camp ground that we'd never used before and it was also very nice, and very quiet
I also was able to take my girlfriend to her very first drive-in movie. This was particularly fun because since land where we live is so expensive, all the drive-on movie theatres have been torn down.
It was a great weekend, and I'll be posting some pictures of it as soon as I get the film developed.
