The other night I cooked pasta (shells) for my girlfriend and I only to realize that I had no pasta sauce. This isn't a problem for her, because she only uses butter and garlic salt. But I usually use sauce, and there was none.
After searching unsuccessfully for a substitute, I got a sudden idea when I noticed a can of tuna in the cuppboard. I added the tuna to the pasta, and a bit of mayo. But this was too boring, so I looked through my fridge, and ended up adding some celery chunks and diced apple.
The apple really added some flavour to the thing, and I must admit, it was pretty tasty. For all I know, this is probably something everyone has done, and it has a name and everything, but for me it's new! Whee!
Now it needs a name. I think I'll call it... gone
