I have a counter on my page, and according to it, I've logged 104 hits since I've installed it. I know for a fact it doesn't count duplicate IPs because I've tested it.
Then I went to cydewaze.org/stats/ which is the stats page for my site. It claims I've had over 12,000 hits! This seems to count duplicates though, because it's labeled "total hits (any request)". It also counts hits to each page (and each image too), whereas my counter only counts hits to index.html. Maybe this is the cause of the difference in the numbers?
Fortunately I'm allowed 6000MB of data transfer, so I don't think I'm in jeapordy of going over (so far for August I'm at 27,500KB).
