I purchased the Sam Yang Industries Big Bore .44 909s from Pyramydair about 3 months ago.

First impressions of the gun was quite nice. The fit and finish of the gun was more than on par for the price range. The 909s weighs in at around 7 lbs, and balances quite nicely for easy shooting. You will want to use a scuba tank for filling, because like all big bores, this goes through a lot of air.

Mine shoots the .454 round balls at near 800fps for around 6 shots for around 185fpe. Don't bother trying the .451 or .452 round balls as they are very inaccurate. I have read that .456 round balls work well also, but I have yet to verify this. At 20 yards, the 147gr balls will penetrate a 2x4. Will most likely do it much beyond that, but I have not tested it. The 195gr slugs from pellet-man will pulverize a 2x4, and in one case, split one lengthwise with a shot to the center. Accuracy is good. At 25 yards, all holes touch, and out to 50 I can get about 2 inch groups. I'm not sure that I'd want to take anything larger than a pig with it past 60 yards or so, but within that range, it should do just fine for game up to, and including, deer.

Of course, being a big bore, the gun is quite loud, but does have a threaded barrel if you can find an LDC big enough for it.

The only bad points to this rifle are that the trigger has a fair amount of creep to it (possibly for safety reasons), and the loading port is a bit awkward. I use a large Allen head wrench to push the round balls up into the grooves of the rifling. I guess you don't 'have' to, but it does seem to help with accuracy a bit. The gun has a fair amount of recoil to it, so you should use good mounts. Also, keep in mind that the rear sight sits fairly high, so unless you plan on taking it off, you will need high mounts, especially if you are planning to mount a scope with an objective larger than 32mm. I have a 4x12x44 on mine, and it seems to compliment it well. Be sure that whoever you buy from tests the rifle out, as there is a known problem with the fill port leaking, and I had to request a new one from PA, which they promptly sent free of charge. After installing that, I was able to fill to 3000psi and the gun shows no lockup at that pressure. Before the new fill port, I could only fill to around 1800psi before it would start to leak.

All in all, especially for the price, a nice big bore, capable of taking big game at reasonable distances.
The following pic shows that the 909s will destroy a 2x4. This one was split legnth-wise with a shot. I've since used a better mounting system on the gun as I never cared much for the height of the scope in relation to the comb of the gun.
