I have '88 r9 tl and would like to replace my phase 1 bumpers with those of phase 2. Are they mounted the same way as the old ones?

I've seen many transformations at my country. Changed bumpers, masks etc. Have in mind that license panel at phase 2 goes a bit outer than phase one and with new front bumper will look terrible. Go to scrap-yard and buy front mask and headlights also, than Your Nine will look as phase 2.
