I donīt think the coolant flow is blocked inside the engine (at least, Iīve never heard something like this). I donīt even know what to do if the coolant flow is blocked inside the engine

I think the only way to check if the coolantīs constantly flowing through the engine is to drain and flush the system, from upside to down, that means, to connect a water hose with one of the main coolant tubes on the upside (eventually the one which is connected to the thermostatic valve). If you open it, and the water doesnīt leave the engine block at the bottom with more or less the same pressure, you can assume that there is a fault inside the block. Otherwise better check all other parts of the coolant system for blocks or rips (coolant loss).
Another thing to check is if the carb and ignition are set for correct settings? Wrong timing or bad mixture can also lead to engine overheat.
Finally, you wrote that you changed the engine from Dacia to Renault. Maybe the radiator is to small now? A, letīs say, 1.7l 95hp engine needs a bigger one than the original Dacia 1.3 54hp....
Good luck
