I am very interested in this topic. Some photos of the engine F3P with SPI and MPI will be very appreciated, as well as engine codes that stay for SPI and MPI.
I know these codes for F3N family, these were F3N-L740/1 - SPI and F3N-L742/3 - MPI, but what were they in F3P family?
Were there any special car tech numbers for a phase 2 R19 with F3P / MPI? like.. VF1 xxxx ?
I know that outside these models were marked 1.8i, as opposed to 1.8s that had F3P SPI and plain 1.8 that actually had a F3N-L740 75 BHP only (((

The reason for going that deep into R19 details is that I'd have a R19 stronger than 100 BHP, but I would not like to go into 16V. So the only engine that meets my requirements is F3P MPI with 109 BHP and 160 n*m torque...

Thank you for any kind of information.

Artur

PS. Don't worry - buying a 19 doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to dump Nine and Eleven matters or website

These engine codes are for cars imported to Finland, but I'm not sure if they differ from other European markets in any way.

Renault 19 Phase II with multipoint EFI:

- Yearmodel 94-95
Car code: 3/4/553D05
Engine code: F3PM682 (1794 cm³ / 110 bhp)

-Yearmodel 95-96
Car code: 3/4/553D05
Engine code: F3PA682 (1783 cm³ / 110 bhp)

The power quote was rounded up to 110 bhp here in Finland, probably for marketing reasons. In Finland, these multipoint models are recognized from the "Biarritz" dubbing given to the last R19 models before the Mégane replaced them.

Renault 19 Phase II with monopoint (singlepoint) EFI:

-Yearmodel 92-94
Car code: B/L53Y05 (manual), B/L53Y02 (automatic)
Engine code: F3P-704 (manual), F3P-705 (automatic) (1794 cm³ / 95 bhp)

Renault 19 Phase II 1.8 RT Automatic (I don't know multipoint or monopoint?):
-Yearmodel 95
Car code: B53V02 (automatic)
Engine code: F3P5765 (1794 cm³ / 92 bhp)
Only 2(!) such cars were imported to Finland. From the power output I'd guess it's monopoint?

Hope this helps.

were there any Lagunas with this engine?

Thank you very much for in-depth information Juha. There is another unanswered question in my mind..
The basic engine in phase I Laguna was a F3P, AFAIK these were SPI F3Ps that delivered circa 95 hp. If one wanted more power, then had to buy an F3R or N7Q engined version to get 115 and 140 bhp respectively.
I heard / read somewhere, however that there were also some 1.8 litre 115 bhp Lagunas (which should have a MPI F3P I suppose), but I still haven't found any confirmation in hard data..

Do you have some more information about that?

Artur

If there were, they were never imported to Finland, anyway. It's possible that there was such a version in some country?

There is a 1.8 Laguna with 88 kW / 120 bhp, but that's a 16V engine (1783 cm³ / F4P-760)
