First of all I have to say sorry Ivo for never replying regarding that rear suspension... I've had some problems with my computer so I formatted the whole thing, got a better internet connection and here I am...
Also glad to see that people are still around...
Now, as I looked through one of the previous threads, I couldn't but not notice the discussion regarding the top speeds of some cars... A 1.4L R9/11 to go 200km/h?! No way! I'm sorry to disappoint someone, but come on... 1,7L (carb) R5 GTX's top speed is at about 185 km/h, and we're talking about 90HP!! My FI 1,7 with approx. 83HP with all the mods I've made (75HP originally)can go according to speedo about 185 km/h, which is close to 180 to be real...)
R5 GTTurbo's max speed is 198 km/h (correct me if I'm wrong)....
Plus, we're talking about cars at 850kg...

Another thing, Juha, I'm really surprised to see that scandinavians like Renaults like that... I wish there was an organization like that down here in Bosnia, or anywhere near for that matter!
I was thinking of starting at least a fan club in Sarajevo, and try to spread it, but it will have to wait for a while, because of my studies... MAybe this summer...

Hi! I am from Romania, and I have a Renault 11 txe from 1985 with 1,7 engine, 59 kw=80 hp. I want to know, what is the top speed of my car. I have run a cuple of times 170, but i hadn't more street to continue.I think that it could go up to 180 easy. In the summer i want to see if could reach this speed.

Unfortunately I tried to find some kind of "official" data on that, but haven't been able so far...
But, since my father's R19 1,7L (73HP) max. speed is 172 km/h (factory data), guess that your 11 can go 180 km/h, which I assume will be even more on the speedometer...

Ne brini se za odgovor, ja sam vec nabavio 90% dijelova za svoj r 11 tako da dugo nisam bio na forumu.
2 All: I broke my speedmeter because i vas going to fast. i have a eng. from R 21 gtx 1.7l. on highway i speed it up so fast that needle of gauge was pointing straight dovn on reset button.( speedmeter is calibrate to 180 km/h). It stays there for about 1.5 seconds then some noise ( klik ) was heard. After that speedmeter returns to the 0., and never move a inch.
