Lighting problem

I have a problem ,My lights are staying on permanently in my Renault 11.It is
a R11 diesel 1.6 year 1988.They come on the second i turn the key.They seem
to get stronger as i turn on the engine.
Can anybody help

PS Buy a r19 16v .They look good with a bodykit.

Hi Derek,

If the lights really come on only after you've turned the key (i.e. they come out when you remove the key), everything is OK.

As it is mandatory to use lights day&night in the UK(?) + Scandinavia, Renault has provided this automatic system that turns on the lights when you turn on the ignition. This way it doesn't matter if you forget to do that manually, and you won't get fined for not having lights on.
